Rising Star Coffee Roasters — Restaurant in Cleveland

Let me just start by saying this was my first and last time getting coffee here. My husband and I live in the area and decided to walk to get coffee with our newborn baby. As new parents coffee is life for us so we were excited to try this spot. When we entered we were greeted right away. I ordered my latte but my husband had some questions about the menu because he is a newbie to the coffee world. As he asked questions the barista rolled her eyes multiple times as he decided. Maybe because he was taking too long idk.. but there was no one else in line behind us. Anyways, we got through the order and were going to leave with are daughter. As we head toward the back door (that was wide open) we were stunned to have it shut in not only our faces but shut right in front of our stroller… by an employee!! I get that the door said “use side door” but it was literally wide open. The employee could have just waited until we got out the door with our stroller to then shut it. Never have I ever been so mad in my life.. who shuts the door on someone with a stroller?! So rude!! NOT A FAMILY...

It was my first time visiting this coffee shop, I’ve heard great things about their coffee and I was excited to try it. The staff recommended promised land latte, and he was not wrong! I really enjoy the flavor of the coffee and the barista did a great job with the latte art, it was simple but well received.

The place is small and it’s not suitable for large group gathering, at least not during winter. They have some table outdoors for warmer times. They are usually pretty busy but the service run fast.

There is not a garage parking, so for people who don’t like street parking, this might not be the location they want to try the coffee. The parking is not hard but is unpredictable if you can find a available spot depending on the time you are...

Absolutely love this place. Friendly staff, amazing products, great coffee equipment, and a unique and peaceful environment. Not to mention the music playing was all my favorite songs. I am from out of town and engaged in conversation with the barista about what to do while I'm in town. Coffee shops that roast their own coffee are the best of the best and this place roasts so many different kinds of beans to choose from. Being a barista myself, I know that creating a fantastic cup of coffee takes time and it wasn't even a long wait at all. Infact it was sort of fast! I don't understand why someone would give a bad review about specialty coffee taking a little bit of time. Can't wait to visit again when I'm back...
