Introduction: My good friend, her daughter and I got our food to go.
Experience: The experience was nice.
Welcome:. The cashier kindly took our order, repeated our order to ensure he got it right. He took our names and when our order was ready he remembered our names, without looking on paper which I thought was nice.
Ambiance: The restaurant was clean including the bathroom.
Food: Take-out, I ordered the lamb Sittoo’s Lamb Sandwich and the small baklava (which included two fingers and one small piece I believe it is called diamond) totaling three small portion sizes. I requested to have my sandwich made spicy. It was really good. The lamb was tender and easy to eat, and the pita tasted fresh and soft. I ate this in the car (the reason why I do not have a picture of it) due to being on a time constraint to get back on the road. I did not eat any of the baklava until I got home. When I opened it I gave one of the fingers to my boyfriend so he could taste it and I ate a little of the “diamond” piece. I then decided to eat the other finger. I took a bite and when I went to take another bite I is when I saw the hair hanging from the finger. I tried to give a good picture so you can see it is not on the surface but actually inside the finger. Needless to say I did not eat anymore of any of it.
Price: The lamb sandwich was worth the $7.69 plus tax. The baklava would have been worth the $3.95 plus tax if it was not for the hair in the finger.
Will return: I am unsure if I will return the next time I go to Cleveland, Ohio again.
Stars: I will give it 2 stars overall because hair in food is alarming.
Tip: Always check your food before leaving. In my case even checking the surface of my food I would not have seen the hair. It was not until I bit into it that it...
Read moreNot impressed. We (3 of us) heard good things and tried it out on our way to an event downtown.
I also want to recognize that there were two people running the place...one at the register and one in the kitchen. I'm going to blame some of this on management not being able to properly staff their place, but...
Our order was brought out item by item, as it was ready. Salad first, then the fries about 5 minutes later, then one wrap at about 10 minutes and a second wrap at about 15 minutes. That, alone, made it feel like less of a meal. The hummus never made it out, nor would my wrap had I not asked about it after waiting more than 20 minutes (and getting it after about 25 minutes)
The food was also okay, but nothing all that great. Ironically, the best food were the fries, which were hot, and the ones which weren't coated in thyme spice were delicious. The fattoush salad was fresh, but mostly oil with minimal vinegar and spices. And a few thyme covered pita chips on top. We didn't eat much of the salad.
The wraps, again, were fresh. I liked the toasted crispiness of the wrap itself. But the meat (beef shawarma) wasn't all that flavorful, with the pickles driving most of the flavor. It was more of a sweet-pickle wrap than a beef shawarma wrap.
25 minutes to get three okay wraps, an oily salad, and some fries (and never getting the hummus, because we were on a schedule and needed to leave) wasn't really worth the trip. I love Middle-Eastern cuisine, but this isn't really a place that did it...
Read moreWe visited on a Friday afternoon for lunch in mid-April 2025. We were currently staying at the Glidden House hotel and the nearby museums so we walked to the restaurant instead of having to drive and park.
We were happy to find the business special for weekday lunch and it was a great deal. It was also a nice way to try a little bit of everything they had on the menu and it was delicious on top of that. My wife also really wanted to try the spicy cauliflower and glad she did. We all tried it and it was so good. The only thing that really surprised us was the chicken tenders and hummos on the kids menu. We were expecting breaded chicken tenders with a side of hummos but it was 2 grilled chicken tenders plopped on top a bunch of hummos. Our picky little one ate it but it was just very surprising.
The restaurant itself was fine with a number of people eating inside. I wouldn't call it super fancy. The atmosphere was more of that as a dive diner than a more modern or upscale restaurant. Almost like a hole in the wall fast food place. Orange or terracotta colored tiled floors and drop ceiling etc. Don't let the atmosphere deceive you though cause the food was good and the staff super nice. This was our first time and the lady answered all of our questions and gave us suggestions.
Overall we would definitely come back here again. Especially for the great business...
