Susy's Soup and Deli (Tower City) — Restaurant in Cleveland

I have patronized Susy’s for at least 6 years and I have appreciated the food as well as the service in all of these years. Today, I am actually taking the time out of my day to post this sad review which I have only done twice in my life and the other review was about a great experience. I was treated with a lack of regard and respect by Sandra who was short with me while on the phone when I called to place my order, then yelled at me when I called to provide feedback that something tasted off with my soup, and to add further insult she then disrespected and demeaned me when I went back to return the soup in front of the staff, my coworkers who happened to be there, as well as all of the other customers. I feel bad for the owner because had he been there I am sure that he would have cared that one of his long time customers had this type of horrific experience and that I will not...

Most people prefer NOT to be up-sold, but had there been an attempt, I would have gotten more items. Place was not busy yet & only 1 person in front of me waiting for their order.

More importantly, I think wait time is slow. I appreciate freshly made, but like I said, 1 person in front had already been waiting & waited some more. No one behind me either.

Most importantly, the Grilled Veggie Delight is misnamed. The veggies are NOT grilled, & I was disappointed s. The sandwich was basically a salad between bread. It was unwieldy with shredded carrots coming out with every bite. Veggies were fresh but I was expecting a hot sandwich with grilled veggies....

I get a bowl of soup everytime I come downtown. Today I ordered my normal bowl of soup and it was served to me in a paper container, ONE HALF THE SIZE of the ceramic bowl and I was charged the same price. When i asked wht this paper container, I was told they are preparing for closing. I ordered my soup at 3.10 pm. Closing time is 4 pm. Noone is even in here and they couldn't wash one bowl in 45 minutes. NOT ACCEPTABLE. next time I come here I'll ask for a bowl not paper container. And for this small container, they can UPDATE 4.29.25... Thank you, Suzy Soups! Came in today at 3.30 pm and requested a ceramic bowl of soups and i received!!! Great news!...
