I never write bad reviews because I know how hard working in restaurants can be after having managed them for 5 years and I’m empathic to Mother’s Day (the day we dined) being one of the busiest days for restaurants. I made a reservation for 3:30 and my mom and I were seated at a 2 top, but it seemed this entire row of 2 tops must have been squeezed there in anticipation for high Mother’s Day volume as the entire row of tables only had only a foot or so on either side for traffic. We were sat at the table closest to the host stand on our right, and on our left was the back of a chair capped on the end of a 6 top. This table should not have been capped as there was not enough space in the aisle and no other tables in that row of 6 tops were capped. Luckily, at that time no one was seated in the end seat so I asked the server if we could scoot our table closer to the back of the empty chair on our left to allow more room for inevitable host stand traffic on our right. Servers were carrying large trays of food inches above our heads and our table was bumped by servers and guests several times walking by. In retrospect I should have asked for another table but didn’t want to have a long wait or take another guests reservation for Mother’s Day.
Our server introduced himself asking how we were, and we responded “good!” but must have forgotten to ask how he was in return to which he sarcastically responded “I’m fine too thanks for asking”. Upon introduction, he didn’t ask for our drink orders but asked if we wanted appetizers, so we asked if we could order drinks instead and said we would not have any appetizers. He returned quickly to ask for our entree orders, and we placed our entree orders, and our entrees arrived quickly. We took our first bite of our entrees when he returned to the table and asking everything was, we said great, and he said “I’ll bring you your check then”. When he dropped the check, we were two bites in, I asked my mom if she wanted dessert (because he did not ask if we wanted dessert, another drink, etc) so he then offered us a dessert menu, and came by several more times in a matter of minutes to ask if we have decided on dessert. I appreciate the attentiveness, but we felt very rushed. We were still eating our entrees upon his 3rd trip to ask if we wanted dessert, we said we would pass on dessert and he said “at least no is an answer” as if our several minutes of enjoying our food rather than deciding on a dessert was inconveniencing him. I gave him my card at that time. When he brought the receipt for me to sign, I only got a chance to write the 20% tip amount before he asked to take the signed merchant copy of the receipt. I hesitated as I hadn’t even written the total amount to which he said I didn’t need to write the total amount. (I was taught never to collect the merchant copy until the guests leave the table but OK) I handed him the merchant copy and he didn’t even give me a fraction of a second to hand him his pen back after I handed him the receipt when he asked “can I have my pen back?” This entire experience was probably 20-30 minutes.
I spoke to Maria the manager about our table placement being poor to which she apologized stating that row was meant for walk ins, and I told her we had a reservation (she checked us in and directed the host to which table to sit us at) but she was very kind and offered us a gift card for next time. I explained how rushed we felt by our server, Andrew, and his off-putting comments, and she said she would address with him but he had left for the day. So, we realize that we must have been his last table of the day, and he wanted to leave, hence...
Read moreAfter shopping at Partridge Creek, we stopped in P.F. Chang's for a bite: 04/2/2021. As we walked in, I was asked if I had a reservation. I told the lady "no". One of the 3 woman at the front podium gave me the oddest look and was acting kind of hesistant. Although I could visibly see the emptiness, I asked how long was the wait, as we were just standing there looking at each other. She said there wasn't one. I said, "what we can't eat here since we don't have a reservation?". The woman said, "oh no you're fine, you just have to eat out there (pointed to the outdoor enclosure) since you don't have one, but there are heaters and fans out there to keep it a nice temperature." Besides the strange look, it was no biggie. As another one of the women escorted us into the enclosure, I chuckled and said "Ah, no wonder she looked at me like that. Social distancing is not much of a press out here, since you don't have a reservation". In my opinion, there was a noticeable difference between the inside and outside seating accommodations. Holly our server, brought over what looked to be a tablet in a bowl. She explained that it was the Japanese way of cleaning their hands before a meal. She used a teapot and poured hot water into the bowl. The "tablet" swelled into a rolled towel. Neat!!! We ordered the peach tea with peach popping pearls and strawberry lemonade for the drinks; and pork egg rolls for the starter. For the meal, Crisy Honey Shrimp, Crispy Honey Chicken, Pepper Steak (Holly's choice!!!), and the Sweet and Sour Chicken, accompanied with brown rice, white rice, and fried rice. Although everything had a really nice taste, the pepper steak was a little chewy. The reason for the three stars is for our heater. I want to mention that I'm very observant. I noticed all of the heaters were either turned on low or off (based on the redness of the coils). When we first entered the enclosure, the temperature was perfect. As we ordered our food and waited for it, the temp was still decent as the lady at entrance said it would be. Once we received our food, things changed. My child said she was hot, I told her to take off her jacket. A few minutes later she said she was still hot. I asked if she wanted to leave, she no because we had just gotten our food. At this point I started to notice the heat increase as well, because my face gets tight and my hands swell when I'm in extreme heat. After a few more minutes of trying to tough it out, my head started hurting. I looked up at the heater and it is full blown red. I looked around at the heaters above other patrons' tables and they were still low or off. I moved to the opposite site of the table, as my original seat was in the direct flow of the heater. I asked a nearby waiter if it was possible to only turn our heater down, as our server was not around. He said "Yes, it's possible. They're individually operated. I'll go adjust it for you ". As soon as he walked away, our server walked past him and up to us, chuckled and said " A little toasty, hunh?". I honestly can't help but think someone intentionally turned our heater up, as it was on low before we ordered, once we ordered, and while we were eating the appetizer. Then all of a sudden out of the blue it's on full blast, and as soon as I mention it, our server comes up talking about it. I'm not blaming her, but the...
Read moreWe've been to this place many times before, I understand now that the economy is hurting everybody but when you guys start charging more for your food and the food quality is disgusting you shouldn't be doing that I will never be back at this restaurant ever again we ordered out and I cannot tell you how disgusting the food was first off starting with the Spring rolls the Spring rolls I thought this was a Chinese place the Spring rolls actually smelled as if they were coming out of an Indian place the smell on the Spring rolls was so pungent I literally wanted to dump them in the trash. Then came the salmon I used to love this before I used to order it all the time you change the order and you took out the The spinach and added broccoli the broccoli was so overcooked it was terrible it looked like it was old broccoli that you guys filled the plate with and then let me tell you the salmon tasted terrible it was so pale it tasted rubbery was not fresh at all and on top of it the color,it is supposed to be Pink at least this was white, The food really tasted terrible it was also so dry so overcooked on the other stuff we had ,I could not believe it there's no way that I'm ever gonna spend this again for this kind of junk, I ended up eating cold pancakes from the night before just to get that horrible taste out of my mouth from Spring roll which I am saving, I would love to bring it back and have you guys smell it make sure that it's actual smell that's supposed to be on that Spring roll this is terrible I just cannot believe it hope I don't get sick from this food. I wish you guys would take more pride in keeping the food quality better ,I do not mind paying a higher price ,if the quality is good . UPDATE .... Immediately after leaving this review I was contacted by the manager Miriam after careful consideration I do not want a refund I do not want to credit because that's not right what I want is my review to stand you cannot offer me anything right now because if I'm another person who you're offering a refund to my review has to disappear then people are not gonna know what's really going on ,if you know that you're having a problem with your food then you should have acknowledged this problem before , And now that I know that your egg rolls and Spring rolls are being brought in from another source that already tells me right there at what happened period I'm sorry I have to decline your offer but I will let my review stand the money's not the issue here it's the principle that the food really is not as good as it used to be and you being in a Manager position I understand that you have to contact people but you also have to report to your higher ups of what's...
