Panda Buffet — Restaurant in Clinton

A few years ago was the last time my family and I visited this place prior to yesterday. The reason being is there were cockroaches on the buffet bar. When I caught one and brought it to the attention of the management, they acted like there never was a cockroach, and kept asking me if I at least liked the food, seemingly trying to distract me. I was one plate in before seeing the bugs. I couldn't eat anymore. They gave me half off of my meal. Only mine. I was with a party of 8, who all saw the creatures. All who decided their meals were done.

So, my daughters asked me if we could give them another try since it had been years. I decided that it wouldn't be a bad idea. They had time to clean up.

Nope.

The place is still dirty and disgusting as ever. The bathrooms are gross, and the kitchen door right across the hall from the bathrooms is splattered with brown at the bottom. I got a peek into the kitchen when someone walked through the door, and it's a disaster as well.

I want to be able to support local businesses, but I cannot eat here if they stay this way. The food was always good, they have a good variety, but it makes me nauseated to think that food is being prepared in a dirty kitchen and served in a dirty...

One of my favorite places in Clinton to eat! I usually am not much of a review-writer, but I had an amazing experience Thursday that I just have to share. Our waitress, didn't catch her name but she was blonde if that helps, was incredibly polite and sweet. Our drinks were kept full, and she took genuine concern when I expressed that I had a really bad headache, and even offered me a solution. She was super nice and made the experience wonderful. The food is also really, really good. I definitely recommend the coconut shrimp! My only thing with the food, is sometimes it's really hard. Like it's been sitting for a while. I know it's hard to battle with a buffet-style setting, but it would be nice if it was a tad bit more fresh. That being said, most of it is still amazing! And when it comes out fresh, it's perfect. It's definitely my go-to comfort place in Clinton, and I personally feel as though it is reasonably priced. In addition, the atmosphere is really nice. The fancy dangly things hanging from the walls are very pretty, and the fish are very nice to watch while waiting to be seated or pay. I will be stopping in more often now! I was here with friends and we were trying to eat after paying $56 for four people one of which is highly allergic to shellfish and kids were running around grabbing shrimp and other foods with their hands and parents weren’t present. Talked to worker about this and nothing was done and then talked to owner and he said we could get a discount for my friend who couldn’t eat but that they were kids and it was a buffet. Hands in food and someone is allergic to shellfish and this is all they could offer me when we barely ate anything but ice cream. Four people walked out after me. I did like this place but WE WILL NOT BE GOING BACK. WATCH YOUR FOOD AND CHILDREN IF YOU GO BACK AND HOPEFULLY YOU AREN’T ALLERGIC TO ANYTHING BC AFTER ALL THEY ARE KIDS WITHOUT SUPERVISION AND IT IS A BUFFET.
