Denny's — Restaurant in Clovis

Been a while since I've been to a Denny's. Went for Christmas Day. Foggy Day limited location. Short staffed. Slow service. Food choices are limited...where's the Chili? Do they even have Fish n Chips? A little skimpy on food, but it matched the price. Ordered the Turkey Dinner. Am I seeing things? Beef Gravy on Turkey. It was a dark color. Turkey gravy has a lighter color. And it tasted of pure salt. Packaged. Same as the stuffing. All I can say was the chopped up Broccoli pieces were good. The salad was a larger portion and delicious. The piece of packaged pie was good. (I took leftovers home, My friend did not ) I ate most of it Thurs. I ended up sick Thurs/Fri. Excuse the graphics, but I vomited several times. Miserable. The Dr said "I had food poisoning". Quick way to lose 9 lbs that weekend. Took a few days to feel better. Denny's usually has good BF's but we went for lunch. We found a place who served a holiday lunch worse than Black Bear Diner Fast Food Thanksgiving last year. Denny's...no thank you!!! One star for salad and pie. Just remembered the odd tasting milk. The Waitress said it was 2%. I say it was...powdered. I could be wrong, but it wouldn't taste all that good with even a cookie. Not based on quickness of service but service of everything else. (Yes she was still given a tip as she was working on Thanksgiving day. Not happy a person who came in way after us got served before us). Wasn't McDonald's open on Christmas Day? Friend ordered Onion Rings to go. After waitress told us she put in order 20 min and it still not arrived.( Told us twice they're coming.) We were leaving and just had to cancel the order. Very very horrible service tonight on April 3rd 2018 at the Shaw and Willow location. I had a group of 6 people and 4 of our meals were messed up when they came to the table and on the sixth person they only brought half of her meal. On the 5th person they didn't bring out his meal until at least 10 to 15 minutes after the other four people's meals were brought out. Two the four people had lukewarm hamburgers and Superbird and all of them had cold fries. The fourth person had ordered pancake puppies and they were so overcooked and hard like rocks. When the sixth person finally got his food the bread was burnt and he had ordered it without onions and there were onions all over the sandwich. On top of that our beverages we're not flavored properly and it took a while to even get them replaced. I don't know how they are still in business with that horrible of service. Then it took another 15 to 20 minutes to replace all of the five out of six people's food. We had arrived at 9:45 p.m. and did not leave until 11:45 p.m. 2 hours!!!! We thought that we could get a good late-night meal and this happened. Then when we got our check the manager only discounted the overall check by 15%, which only took off $10. That is ridiculous!!!! We will never ever ever go to this...

The waitress dropped my fries in my lap when she served my plate. No biggie. Kinda funny. When my patty melt came, it tasted like it had been made with french toast bread. Kinda cinnamon-y. I wasn't going to say anything because I hate sending food back, but I tried to eat it and I couldn't. I asked about the taste... turns out the cook accidentally used the french toast bread. They made it again, and the manager came to the table to apologize. No biggie. Stuff happens. It was kinda funny. The store wasn't very busy, and the manager took over for the server when she went on break. The manager came to the table several times. Very friendly and helpful. I half expected to have them offer a discount, since my husband was done eating by the time my food came back. They didn't, but that was ok because I had a coupon. When I presented the coupon to the manager at the register, she kinda gave me a hard time about it. I was a little taken aback.
