I've visited Jimbos often in the past, and I really enjoyed the bar and the patio. I thought it was a great place to hang out until their bouncers kicked me out for being a motorcyclist. After paying the entry fee, submitting to a search, and buying a beer, I was accosted by a man who did not introduce himself. He pointed at me, said I couldn't be in the bar with a helmet. I told him the bouncer let me in with it, and he scoffed and said he was a bouncer. I returned to the door and asked the original man if this was true. He said I would use it as a weapon, and he had to take it from me. At this point, I had two huge guys intimidating me and trying to take my belongings, so I left my beer at the bar without drinking a drop of it, told the men I didn't want any trouble, and left. I tried calling the manager, but one of the bouncers intercepted the call and told me he was in charge. I finally got a hold of "Kimberly" the woman who claimed to be the manager. I told her what happened, but she didn't even pretend to care. I'm not sure if I even talked to a manager. Either the first bouncer was extremely incompetent and the second man was rude beyond belief, or they worked together to steal from me. Either way, I highly recommend visiting another bar, especially if you drive...
Read moreI enjoyed the relaxation. It's my first time here.
Its Friday night. 730pm. 1/7/19 The bartenders can be a little more social. I felt they work there as a basic job more than something they enjoy doing... unfortunately a problem with all of society... leading them to be basic people (predicting behavior, body language, speech, etc.)[could just be a basic day for the bartenders, idk.] I give a 3/5 because I was relaxed and enjoyed my music on the juke. There was no social aspect behind the bar. Very short. Blunt. That vibe you feel when it's just a dead moment in time. Leaves you in a feeling of 'blah' not much to say. Striking conversation only leads you to a dead end. Also, the prices for happy hour on beers, are nice. On the contrary, the shots are a 1$+ more than the original bars in Clovis. The Fifth by 500club has much better pricing. I'll come back for a concert or a...
Read moreSo I don't drink alcohol, but my roommates do resulting in me tagging along, however, I went specifically for the dancing. And for some reason there were two random Australian guys there who really wanted me to dance with them. One was super drunk and basically wouldn't let me leave without dancing with him. So I did, and he drunkenly serenaded me to Def Leppard's pour some sugar on me. ... And then he touched my butt and I ran away. So the dancing was fun, the Australians were wild, I didn't have any alcohol but my roommates keep drinking so I assumed it was good, and the music was very catchy. Only problem is the long wait to get in, and being sober surrounded by drunk people can be very interesting and intimidating. But I'd definitely recommend it. You'll have some fun stories to tell...
