Taqueria Habanero — Restaurant in College Park

I just had an absolutely unreal meal at Taqueria Habanero’s brand new location and I’m already counting down the days to go back! I have been super into their chicken tinga quesadillas, because the cheese is next to godliness and the chicken and tortillas are bursting with flavor in every bite. Then the pulpo taco showed up and blew my mind. The octopus was smoky, tender, and straight-up dreamy. The mole, honestly, it was pure magic like a rich, deep, and layered happiness like nothing I’ve ever tasted before. And the leche flan melted in my mouth like a sweet little cloud. I came to eat here the other day because I went to the old location before and I wanted to check out the new one … the food is not the same how it was before at the old store … What's going on here? Taqueria Habanero is supposed to be a taco spot, yet now your menu looks like a knockoff of your neighbor's. Why would anyone come to you for a copy when they can just go next door for the real thing? Stick to tacos - copying your neighbor's menu just makes you look desperate . I saw the menu ( value meals ? Loaded fries ? Chicken wings ? Late nights ?? ) by the way the portions of the food dont equal to the price...

Was happy to see them come back, but disgusted with my most recent experience. Ordered carry out, watched the lady at the front wipe her mouth with her hand after eating, touch her face and mouth multiple times with the palm of her hand, before touching my food and several other orders, including napkins etc... if you are a UMD student who cares about your health, think before ordering from here.
