Terrapin's Turf — Restaurant in College Park

I had the exact same experience as Kevin getting robbed by the owner. I paid $5 to get in and I'm in there for about 30 min then I decide to come outside to get fresh air because it gets insanely hot in there. I go to come back inside and the owner asked to the show the stamp and it turns out the stamp had came off because I was sweating so much. I show him my id, he lets me through the rope, I'm back in there. I'm pretty mad at that point because I've paid $10 to get in altogether. I get stamped again and I go explain to the guy who stamped me how easily the stuff comes off, I wiped off the stamp to show him my point. then went to ask for another one but double press it, and the owner instantly threw me out. Obviously at this point I'm pissed and I'm demanding my money back. He then calls me a liar, that I never paid! I'm now off the property trying to demand my money back and he slaps me in the face. There was scuffle after that, one dude choked me out and tried to slam me but failed epically. Let me also add that I never have done a review on something but I just had to with this one. SO, best of luck to anyone who tries to come inside after sweating...

DO NOT GO TO THIS BAR. This bar has ZERO respect for customers even if they pay. I wosh I could give them a ZERO. I paid my cover, showed my LEGAL ID, and not even 20 seconds later was harassed by a random old man in a polo to show my ID. I had no idea who he was and was hesitant to show my ID to a stranger so I walked over to security. By then, the random man (who ended up being the owner but never ever told me so) ordered the security to kick me out. You wanna kick me out? Fine. I'm a good sport. But those men refused to give me my money back and I have ZERO respect for that. I then sat outside and WATCHED for over 30min as they let young kids in and then kicked them out after paying their cover. These people are absolute scum. They quite literally STEAL from people and then use their own security and even the local police to enforce their theft. It's absolutely horrendous. I can not discourage you from coming to this garbage bar enough. PLEASE DO NOT GO HERE DO NOT GIVE THEM YOUR MONEY ITS...

As a University of Maryland student, Terrapins Turf is my go-to spot in College Park! It's super convenient being so close to campus, making it perfect for unwinding after classes or grabbing a bite between study sessions. The staff here is incredibly friendly and welcoming. A special shoutout to Gaby the bartender—her positive attitude and warm smile always make my day.

The vibe at Turf is always fun and energetic, whether you're there for a quick lunch or a night out with friends. The food is fantastic, especially the burgers, and the drink specials are unbeatable.
