I feel compelled to tell others what I saw today. I’d like this to reach the manager. Today I saw one of the most disrespectful exchanges I’ve ever seen between a hospitality service provider and a customer.
The customer, an elderly woman, walks up to one of the staff that was working behind the kitchen around 12:30pm to ask them a question. It looked like the staff was on their way to the back but phone was in hand. When I say the most disrespectful looks, attitude, and impatience towards a customer, believe me I can’t put it in enough words.
The staff rolls their eyes, huffs, and is so bothered by a customer literally just asking to get a spoon and asking for their side salad that they ordered. The staff proceeds to rudely partially hand over what the old lady was asking for and without skipping a beat, walks off without asking the customer if there was anything else needed or whatever. The lady still needed assistance and was forced to walk all the way to the counter to continue her request.
I was already on the fence about eating there but the atmosphere and food selection on the menu was inviting. After witnessing that exchange, I was happy to take my business somewhere else.
Please help your staff understand the minimum requirements of being in the hospitality industry. No one is forcing them to...
   Read moreAbsurdly bad customer service.
The menu lists a gluten free crust option. As I began placing my order using the touchscreen kiosk, I noticed this option seemed to be missing. After quite a bit of effort, I was finally able to get the attention of an employee. I explained that the gf option was missing. She was very sweet and actually told me that she would personally make my pizza, and to just let her know my order number once I completed the transaction. So, I followed her instructions.
About 15 minutes later I was told by another employee that there were no gf crusts available. He turned to another worker who very callously said "NOPE!" when he asked if there were any more gf crusts somewhere. This was particularly jarring since it seemed like this business was ready to take my food allergy seriously.
After speaking with 2 other people my transaction was allegedly cancelled (I have my doubts), and I was forced to pay again for the other item I ordered. I was told that I would get a refund in 24-48 hours.
With the exception of that single employee who was very nice, every other employee I interacted with seemed extremely put-out to have to deal with me.
Never eat here. Especially, if you have a food allergy.
For management, the details of this debacle of a transaction are listed on my receipt...
Read moreWent here with my friend today. While I got Grind House Killer Burgers, my friend got Uncle Maddio’s. Horrible experience and terrible customer service. We ordered at the same time, equal wait time and I got and ate my food with more time to spare before my friend realized the staff hadn’t made his food. He spoke up to politely ask if his pizza was being made. This was when the staff saw his order on a receipt which was sitting unattended. At that point, it became clear nobody wanted to take accountability and all customer service workers were blaming each other and pointing fingers at who they thought should’ve made the pizza. No apology was made to my friend, no responsibility was taken. Nobody jumped up to make the pizza or offer a minimal amount of sincerity or customer service. They clearly did not care. My friend told them he had to catch a flight in 20 minutes and that’s when they put his order in the oven. It still took forever and the staff couldn’t have been any less friendly. Still at no point was “Sorry” said and no apology was made at any time. We ended up leaving and my friend got a refund. The staff member almost seemed mad at us. The customer should be the #1 priority. Highly recommend avoiding Uncle Maddio’s at all costs. The pizza is tiny anyway and very expensive. Go to Grind...
