Laynes is nothing compared to what it used to be just a few years ago. I was excited to stop on my way through town but was disappointed when I opened my box to see what I was given. But after reading reviews I had the same experience as multiple other people. The tenders were half the size of what they used to be. You have to add potato salad now instead of it being included. When I opened that container it was literally two small spoonfuls of potato salad. The fries weren’t fresh. Overall just a disappointing meal. I don’t see how they can continue to grow at this quality. They took off for a while because of what they were known for but that has gone downhill

This is the last time I will be eating at Layne's. Not only has the new owning company increased prices, and made previously free items come at a cost, both my wife and I had something wrong with our food. This is also not the first time something like this has happened. My to-go box has a squished bug in it that I found AFTER eating my food, and my wife's bread had tiny bits of black plastic sticking to the top of it. We used to love Layne's, but it is apparent the new owners do not care about providing a quality experience. Spend your money at Cane's.

I usually go to the location on Wellborn or Texas. First time here at this location. The employee who took my order was nice and talkative. It took a long time for being the first car in the drive through line. I asked for extra fries and the amount in the photo is what I got. I usually get a whole lot more at the other locations. Food was still hot and good though! I just read some of the other reviews about this location not getting their orders right so I would say this accurate.

This is not a terrible place when it comes to food… It is kinda close by to my office.. There is another company in town who offers the exact same set up this place has and the name rhymes… I still prefer that place better (and it takes me 30mins to go there and come back)… Here is why..

I call in my order to this here all the time.. I call it in so they will go ahead and box it up and it can start cooling off… They absolutely never have it ready when I get there… And we’re not talking about once or twice… We’re talking about every single time…

Once I even told them on the phone.. “Look… Please go ahead and box up my food now and send it to the side… Because I eat in a hurry and have a very small window to scarf from my food down.. I don’t have time to burn my mouth on the chicken because it just came out of the grease.. if it gets cold that’s on me… But I would really appreciate it..”

They do have a lot of college kids working over here so I guess that’s to be expected… That brings up another point… The staff you’re really needs to watch out for the conversations they have… I’ve bit my tongue more than a few times over the things I’ve heard discussed… I know they just get paid by the hour, but you have to keep in mind that you don’t know what the customer is thinking when they are in there attempting to eat..

I will still keep going back and being frustrated… They will still get my business… But man I wish I could shut my own business down & just go manage this place...

Wow! I'm a bit of a fast food snob and I don't usually write fast food reviews but today Layne's has definitely called for me to type one up. Today I came in with my family of 4 around 5 pm for our typical monthly trip to Layne's. I usually just come through the drive through and its usually very fast and we are satisfied, but today we decided to load the Kido's up and go eat inside for a change. Needless to say we were not disappointed! We were warmly greeted by a nice young gentleman named Aaron who suggested for me to try one of their recently added sauces the jalapeno ranch and it was delicious. Me and my wife also reluctantly decided to let our kids get some milk shakes today as well and of course I had to steal a sip of my sons chocolate shake and it was very good. Our food was out within three minutes and it was hot and delicious. We ordered the 5 finger meal (Spicy) 2 3 finger meals (original) and a grilled cheese. The crew even gave our kids little note pads to draw on while waited for our food. I don't know what their paying their employees here but they were all so nice and cheerful, even singing and having fun with each other in the back while still providing great service. I was very impressed and I cannot wait to come back. 5/5 stars from the...

I had an incredibly frustrating experience at this location today (2/9 at 2:30 PM). I came inside to order lunch, thinking it would be faster since the drive-thru was backed up with about eight cars. There was only one other person inside, who had already ordered and was just waiting for their food (who also seemed frustrated about her wait).

After 20 minutes of waiting and watching drive-thru orders fly out, I finally asked about my order. Instead of providing a helpful answer, the employees treated me like I was in the wrong for even asking. One employee literally said, "They don’t prioritize customers inside; they prioritize the drive-thru."

To make matters worse, they blamed their manager for the delays, said they had run out of food, and acted like I was unreasonable for expecting my order in a reasonable time. When my food was finally ready, an employee with dark curly hair slammed it on the counter and walked away—zero apology, zero professionalism.

Luckily, I was able to warn three other customers who had just walked in. They took one look at my situation and wisely decided to either leave or go through the drive-thru.

This place is completely unorganized, lacks basic customer service, and clearly doesn’t care about inside customers. I...
