Red's Ice House — Restaurant in College Station

We had the privilege to attend the opening night for Red's Ice House and I am not disappointed in the least!

Ambiance: The restaurant has an amazing vibe with a very open inviting design that let's you see through the restaurant.

Service: For a first night open it was fantastic. The waiters/resses were all great, a bit of confusion and awkwardness is expected on a first open but they still nailed it.

Food: the Sticky Wings and Brisket fries were very delicious! The taste and texture for both were spot on.

Comments:

Loaded fries: The Cheese Sauce was lacking! I feel like you need more sauce to make the dishe's ingredients come together for every bite. The jam on the side was perfect though.

Sticky Wings/fries: With finger food, I would love to have finger wipes because of the residue the fries and the wings leave that you can't really wipe off.

Price: 17 each is a bit too high in my opinion for appetizers. Even though they are very delicious, maybe 10-15 dollars would be more appealing for the avg crowd of people...

Red’s Ice House

Food: The food was mid—nothing special, just average quality. The menu was also limited, and the portions were way too small for the price.

Service: Better than expected. Despite it being a busy Saturday night, the staff was attentive and efficient, which was a pleasant surprise.

Price: Way too expensive for what you get. I paid $50 for a burger and two drinks, which is pretty ridiculous for the portion size and quality. Definitely not worth it.

Atmosphere: The vibe was alright. They had live music, which added a nice touch, and the place was busy, so it had a lively energy.

Final Verdict: The service and live music were the only redeeming factors. The small portions, high prices, and mediocre food make it not worth the money. If you’re going for drinks and live music, it might be okay, but for a good meal at a fair price,...

I just wanted to give a shout out to Derek and the entire team at Red's! I called on a Sunday night asking if I could show up the next day with 45 people. Not only did they say yes, but they went above and BEYOND what I expected for a last minute reservation. We were given the entire upstairs, and the table was even set beautifully with custom menus. The food was fabulous (as always) and the service was even better. My water glass was never once empty. 45 individual checks is not an easy task, and the team at Red's handled it beautifully. Our crew will absolutely be back in the near future, not just to Red's, but at their other establishments as well!
