Great looking venue but really disappointed in the food we had ordered and the overall cleanliness. We had combination nachos along with chips and queso. The servers cleaning the table were polite, however; when I had asked for a couple of plates one of the persons working behind the counter handed over three dirty dishes with one being almost a bowl full of water. The server helping me saw this, poured water from the dishes unto the floor, then went and pulled three dishes from a stack of recently cleaned dishes. Strange and random experience 🤔 so my 3-star rating was not for that. My 3 star rating is for the quality of what should have been a basic fare for a Mexican restaurant in Texas. The queso was disappointing and the nachos bland. The salsa bar was a great option but it really seemed that some of the selections were not fresh. One other issue was that the place was not very clean. The 'clean' dishes - well, were not. They definitely needed another wash. I wiped the plates with napkins prior to handing them out. Additionally, more evidence of the lack of cleanliness was in the restrooms (always a great telltale of a restaurant). The woman's restroom was really bad. Really. Bad. The last gas station we had stopped at on our trip to College Station was significantly cleaner. Once more I wanted to say that the venue is perfect for a Mexican restaurant and the salsa bar was a nice option.

This was a wonderful ending to a very long day. I came back to college station after 20 years and I saw this was close by the hotel, so I decided to stop here. I ordered their number 56 I believe, the beef enchiladas, which are ground beef, with red enchilada sauce, rice, refried beans, fresh flour tortillas, and I added a small side of queso and chips. Everything was delicious and very filling, I couldn't finish it all but I did enjoy trying everything. The chips were nice and crisp, the queso nice and warm and cheesy, refried beans and rice were perfect especially when paired with the small salad on the side, great to combine with the queso and putting in the warm fresh flour tortillas. The tortillas are very pillowy, they must use some sort of magic sauce to make them extra soft and comforting. But that's the word I would give them, is comforting. The beef enchiladas were very good, they had ground beef, small diced potatoes and I will leave some peppers or chilies in them topped with a red sauce. Everything came out very quickly. The atmosphere is very Lively and colorful. If you're feeling sleepy all you have to do is walk into that restaurant and you will wake right up. Overall it was a nice comforting way to end the day.

So Rosa’s takes me way back to my West Texas days—when my Daughter and I would eat at the original location in San Angelo, TX before it became a chain/ franchise brand! But I’ll tell you what, I have yet to run into a Rosa’s location that isn’t True to its roots—Great Fresh Food (to include homemade tortillas); Friendly Customer Service; Speedy Service; GREAT Desserts to include chocolate cake and carrot cake; and the BEST complimentary condiment bar with the freshest sauces, pico de gallo, jalapeño, onions and cilantro! And don’t forget the Beautiful Ambiance with Great Spanish music playing in the background; again, every location makes the original locale Proud to carry the Rosa’s Café & Tortilla Factory name! I just wish there was a Rosa’s in San Antonio, TX—I believe they’d give some other Mexican restaurant chains a run for their money! And the customer is Always right—an incorrect order is fixed right away no questions asked! And, again, the Nicest Folks work there and never give you Attitude! Hardworking People all around! 👍🏽

I must say, I am not much of a fan of trying new places. Specially when my mom was with us and I should mention has no teeth, as she is healing and waiting for full dentures. So, special diets go first! And if she could eat here, so the rest of us! She tried the chicken enchiladas served with rice and beans, lettuce and tomato. As I was afraid she couldn't eat her dish, I approached the staff serving the dishes at the pick up area, and ask if they could serve more beans due to her condition. Immediately one told the other and asked for a moment. He went to get a small container and gave her a side order of beans and asked her to enjoy!. I am sorry, but this is beyond great customer service by the kitchen staff!👍👍👍👍👍 They took upon themselves to make my mom feel included in our gathering and able to eat even if it was beans. (Which I must say were great, must try! Compliments on all our table, to your great fried beans!) Now then, food was hot and fresh. No signs of food being sitting waiting to serve. FLOUR Tortillas were fresh and soft. Dishes were served generously. Salsa bar was clean and well filled. As we spend about 2 hours, staff came to maintain the salsa bar twice to clean and refill. Prices are fair for the good food and affordable around $8 for single dish. Although, there are NO LUNCH SPECIALS or senior discounts. This will by far be one of my favorites to repeat or bring others with me!

THANKS 😊☺️ TO YOUR GREAT STAFF!, that's what make a good restaurant an enjoyable place to gather!...

Yes, Rosa's is a chain fast-food Mexican food restaurant. Given.

They recently (or I recently discovered they) started serving breakfast from 6:30-10:30AM in College Station. I (like most) am a big fan of breakfast and decided that I should give them a shot.

Their ultimate breakfast taco is good. It is more the 'chopped and mixed together' variety of taco as opposed to the 'individual items wholly assembled in a tortilla's type, but the flavors balance out quite well. I have had that twice. Their tamales (pork) have been fantastic. Soft, moist, tender . . . melt in your mouth and flavorful. I have had those three times now.

Having the salsa bar to get "toppings" for the tacos/tamales is just a plus.

Now, I do choose to stay there and eat, not take-out or drive-thru for me; whether that makes a difference or not, I cannot say. Breakfast, for me, is a meal I want to sit and enjoy - not hunch over my desk and rush thru (or, more likely, not be finished with for hours because of distractions.)

So, if you decided that Bryan / College Station has enough breakfast places to choose from . . . why bother with a chain Mexican food joint . . . ? I suggest you give them a chance and try a couple of items. Come in, sit in the ample and quiet seating areas and relax a bit for breakfast before you have to be rushed the rest of the day. Make it a relaxing experience as opposed to worrying about dripping sauce on your clothes while you rush to get to that...
