My boyfriend and I decided to come back to this restaurant because the first visit here was great. Itās disheartening how poor the service was from the moment we entered all the way through to the end when we had to pay. My gripe with this experience is based entirely on the poor attitude and service of the hostesses and waitress. The food was great.
The hostess made us wait (weāre a party of 2) because they were cleaning the table. When she tended to the person that was behind us, she immediately had someone sit them (they were also a party of 2)⦠and when we asked āwell why did we have to wait if you could immediately seat a party of 2?ā She said we had to wait because the table she chose for us was getting wiped down⦠honestly even if it was to assign tables to a server rotation, she couldāve sat us first and then sit the next party at the table being wiped down to keep the balance of tables for the servers.
The table was all the way in the back corner. Our waitress was a mess. If we took just long enough to say our order she would āgive us timeā and just run off before she was even done saying that she was giving us time. If weād ask for a refill- sheād never remember to bring them. But good luck reminding her because she was never around. She didnāt check on our table to make sure we got everything- which we didnāt. We told her that a side of pancakes was missing and she was running off- I think she said she was going to check on it. When she came back with the pancakes- she passed them over me instead of just going to the side of the table and putting down the plateā¦my boyfriend asked her for some maple syrup and she never brought it. At all. Lucky for the table next to us, she noticed the gentlemanās Dr. Pepper was low and she IMMEDIATELY brought him a refill. Mind you, we were waiting on water refills and other items still. To pay the check, she just brought the machine and left it on our table⦠completely different to how she treated the Dr. Pepper gentleman at the table beside us. They got the full service of collecting payment while we had to do it ourselves.
On the way out, the hostesses were chatting away and refused to even acknowledge us- not a āhave a good dayā or nothing.
Truly one of the worst service experiences Iāve had a restaurant in a good while. Which is disappointing because I couldnāt fully enjoy the food which...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreThe decor here is so beautiful! Immediately walking in, you feel the happy vibes of this place! We saw how pretty it was and thought āoh no. I bet itās expensive.ā But itās not! We were so happy with the pricing. Going out as a family of four can get expensive fast but our bill was very low which means we will be back often! And speaking of coming back often, itās the food of course that was the best part and will have us coming back for sure! The portions are large. My kids split a meal and there was still food leftover afterward! They loved their Mickey Mouse pancake and bacon. The bacon was especially good!! I got the brisket omelette and added fresh jalapeƱos. Delish! And their iced coffee was the best around. Not weak but not overly bold. It was brewed to perfection. I got an extra glass to take home because I couldnāt get enough of it! My husband got biscuits and gravy and LOVED it. He is pretty picky about his biscuits and gravy so the fact that he said they were perfect is a BIG deal! All the staff members were so friendly and happy. You can tell everyone loves their job and it must be a great work environment. We loved our waitress. She got everything correct and had a smile on her face the whole time! And lastly, I canāt help but judge a restaurant on their restrooms. I always say the cleanliness of the restroom usually matches the cleanliness of the kitchen (Iāve worked in the restaurant industry) and when I went to their restroom, it was immaculately clean! So with all that being said, this place deserves every bit of five stars in every category! I cannot find a single flaw...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreThe owner is one of the rudest people I have ever met. Our family of 9 showed up for Easter brunch, 8 of us had gathered in the front waiting to be seated. We had two handicapped ladies in our group but they would not seat us without all 9 people there. This āpolicyā of theirs overrode that they had crippled people forced to stand and wait. Furthermore when my poor grandmother tried to ask if we could just get seated early, the owner cut her off and rudely snapped āMam I am speaking nowā. I do not know who hurt this owner but clearly being the owner has gone to her head and made her believe she can just treat customers like trash. After this I talked with my party about simply leaving due to this mistreatment, not even directly talking to her, but this bruised her ego to the point she told me to stop talking. At this point we were all just floored with this service and left, she even threatened to call the police on our way out, even though we were already leaving. We later called Another Broken Egg and they happily seated us after we explained what happened, I do understand that service workers have it tough and are treated poorly but it does not excuse treating a customer like trash. Truly the worst service I have ever received, I wish I could...
