Piada Italian Street Food — Restaurant in Euless

Definitely don't reccomend coming here. I've tried to give it a while to get on its footing, however every time I come I have a worse experience. This time around, I waited about 20 minutes inside in the line to get my food, my friends food got lost and mixed up and hadn't been told why they set her food aside. I ordered a lemon kale salad, she ordered a carbonara spaghetti bowl. All the kale in my salad was brown, wilted, and had some sort of weird discoloration on the ends that made it taste bad. I also got a strawberry in my salad and I don't even know how that happened? After about 10 more minutes my friend finally received her bowl but it didn't have any special anything, it was old pasta still.

I'm so upset and I definitely will not be trying Piada again. At least not this location. I witnessed an interaction where a lady had to have her salad bowl remade almost 3 times because the workers behind the bar wouldn't listen when she requested not to have items put on it.

On one of my past visits my friend also ordered a salmon, which they had to make fresh, hurray! Love fresh salmon! However, they didn't tell my friend they were doing it and instead just walked away after she ordered it, which she then payed for, and proceeded to not make the salmon. We waited about five minutes because maybe they needed to go collect it, however we asked about it they were surprised that they hadn't made it yet! Ordered ahead for 8:15 PM pick up, grab n go. I arrived and the young lady making the food was moving as slow as possible constantlyhh wandering her eyes around. The long line was went by and no one in line any longer. I’m still waiting for my food. The employees working the front just standing and talking. The lady making my food is still moving in slow motion. There’s another gentleman waiting for his grab n go order that was there before me. At this point, I asked for my order and the girl at register says they are working on it. I focus back on the one lady making to go wraps and a she’s still on wrap number 2 and multiple people looking in the to go bag but not helping her. Someone else arrives for dine in and they get their food. What was the point of allowing guests to order ahead for grab n go? It was 8:40 PM and I still didn’t receive my food neither did the gentleman before me but every patron walking through that door was able to get their food made to order. At this point they are 25 mins past my scheduled pick up time. This was very poorly handled and I hope this review will allow Piada to make some adjustments. I will be back again and if everything is great then I’ll gladly update my review. I just don’t think there was any excuse for that delay. So many employees standing around. Definitely not your average or typical Italian restaurant. It’s like Italian fast food. We live in the area and noticed this new restaurant so we decided to give it a try. Let me just say that the inside of the restaurant is soooo hot, it’s ridiculous. It’s possibly due to the big long stove they have which doesn’t seem very efficient because it’s too big and not al of it is being used. The girls that were adding sauce/toppings were so quiet. I had to ask them to repeat what they said 3 times and still couldn’t hear them. They had to point at what they were asking which is funny because I don’t have bad hearing by any means.

I got the big bowl of carbonara with spaghetti and my boyfriend got the big bowl basil pesto pasta with penne. The carbonara sauce was too bland and the bacon tasted waaaay too much like bacon. They also didn’t add enough sauce to either pastas. I did like the pesto a lot more. I got the hot fried chicken and I DO NOT recommend it. I like spicy foods but this was on a whole different level lmao. My boyfriend who eats more spicy food than me thought it was too spicy. I feel like we were really rushed so I didn’t get all the toppings I wanted. The portion sizes were big! But, I probably will return back and customize my pasta more to my liking.
