This is really just a crafts store. It's nice to walk through and shop in if you're into crafts. But, I transitioned to being more into the arts, and they have surprisingly little in the way of true art supplies.
One point of frustration I have with these types of stores is that you cannot find good canvas to paint on. All they have is cheap, cotton duck canvases that are not archival quality. I need Belgian linen, oil primed canvases to paint on with my oil paints. And to get that, you either have to drive to an Asel Art store, or order online from places like Utrecht Art.
It just bums me out that they decided to divest themselves of those types of products. It makes it very unlikely that I go into their stores anymore, too, because if I'm shopping for one thing online, I might as well get everything there. Especially because the prices are so much better and there are way more choices.

Read moreI'm really displeased with the level of costumer service I received today when one of the self-service machine had a network error during a gift card activation. Not only was it inconvenient but I have to cross my fingers hoping that there's actually $100 on the gift card even though the receipt says it's not activated at a zero balance. Very stressful when my reasonable request get my money back and redo it were rejected by Taylor and the manager. Left with no peace of mind.
Update: I gave my partner his gift card only for him to find out there was nothing on it! Had to drive back up there with him on his birthday and demand my money back! Thanks for putting a damper on was supposed to be a special evening. They clearly do not care about costumer service at...
