Captain D's — Restaurant in Collierville

Ordered and paid (w credit card) for southern style whitefish meal and a shrimp add on. Also requested cracklins. As I was waking away from counter to wait, was advised that they do not have any whitefish and changed my order to just a southern style meal. What I paid for was more expensive, not by much but it's the principal. I stead of just giving me a two piece substitute meal they could have given me another piece of fish, an extra shrimp or two, another side. Or just the difference in price..but NOTHING was offered. When I picked up my order. I I quite about the price difference, they checked the menu agreed there was difference but again nothing. I I quite what they were going to do about the difference, they said 'but we don't have any whitefish ' and then finally said we can give you the difference. I gave them my receipt and they immediately handed it back saying we can't do anything because you paid with a credit card.

Next...sat down to eat....coleslaw was on verge of bad, sour tasting. Fish....2 TINY pieces of fish in some weird batter, like a mix of regular and southern style.

Whole visit was horribly disappand just BAD...

I stopped on my way home from the Dr. They don't have a location closer to my home than this and that is the reason I dropped half a star. The other reason is there was no coctail sauce in the bag for my shrimp. We had been wanting Captain D's for a couple of months and I Googled it from the Dr's office and was surprised to see that there was one in Collierville. Which was about halfway home. The store was clean and staff friendly. They had my food ready in under 10 mins and I put it in the floor of the car for about a 15 min trip. I had called ahead and my oven was on 400 degrees..I put the Fish, shrimp, fries, hush puppies in for about 10 mins (It was still a little warm) I was crispin it all up..it was wonderful..(except no...

I went here after visiting my dad in the hospital.. He is on life support.. I haven't eaten all day due to this stressful event.. So 12 butterfly shrimp and double fried okra was what I ordered.. I waited 45 minutes in hopes the food would be hot at delicious, but to my surprise the for was cold, the okra was burnt, I waited to long with no complimentary sorry for the wait.. Free drink, or nothing... This was the only compliant I have ever had with captain d's but this was enough to not ever visit again. Due to the circumstance I was dealing with and the service I received. I advise customers to check your order before leaving the window, and if it is not properly prepared, please make sure there is resolution to...
