We Just wanted to let our community know how AWFUL the Pizza Hut in Collinsville is. Were very Nostalgic and were so very excited about the Lobby/ Buffet being open again! We arrived almost exactly an hour left of the buffet and made sure to ask if there would be any more Pizza coming out as there were only a few old looking slices of Hawaiian, Supreme and a few thin crust cheese. They said they rotate and that a pepperoni pizza would be out shortly. We had some pasta, breadsticks that we picked at as they were hard and my daughter and partner had the same, they ate a few bites of a few slices and didn't finish as they said they were funky tasting. Being vegetarian I had two small slices of thin cheese. It's sad that we even have to "defend" ourselves. I have been a server and have worked in the food industry many times and I was totally okay with them not bringing much more out although I do feel with an hour left and charging us the full price their should be at least one pizza coming out! Mind you this is a BUFFET in which we just paid $35 for. Any who, a large family of kids had been there when we had arrived and then we were the only ones in there, again this is around 1:00pm. Close to 20 minutes pass and nothing has come out were just picking at pasta, salad etc. While waiting. I decided to use the Restroom and as I'm walking back towards the table I see the employee/manager who ever this rude Woman is, Facing her back to my boyfriend saying "YEAH YOU DID" I'm like uh? I see my Boyfriend standing there and he's like "I will never be back here!" "Come on were leaving!" I had to hurry and gather our Baby and Daughter etc didn't even have a chance to see what transpired and or ask for even a partial refund. Heck I was still hungry and irritated, For $35 we could have ordered the family box and still had $10 left. My post partum self didn't even get a subpar Cinnamon breadstick 😭 Come to find out my Boyfriend had asked when more Pizza would be out ? (It's been almost 30 mins and it will be closing for the buffet soon) her response "I'M NOT BRINGING OUT ANY PIZZA, YOU GUYS ATE TWO PIZZAS ALREADY" and then accuses my daughter and boyfriend of stealing soda? They had water the whole time and I did as well! At $35 and it being a "Buffet" none of it makes sense? I should have read the reviews there no surprise Terrible and this weirdo woman who has no idea what even mediocre customer service is apparently has treated other customers poorly. This has truly bothered us. To accuse customers of nonsense and to not want to provide what we just paid full price for is ridiculous and then to get combative 😓 if you hate your job, are not a people person and or just don't want to do your job. Please don't work with the general public especially when they are being kind and you decide to be an A hole. Side note I have had days where i was crying 4 minutes before clocking in and I have never treated a customer poorly because I was unhappy. TREAT PEOPLE HOW YOU WANT TO BE TREATED. Rant over, Still waiting for...
Read moreI have had food twice from this store in the 62234 area code. I used to think that pizza hut was the best pizza from a national chain. I now think it may be the worst.
The first thing I ordered was a veggie pan pizza.
The pan crust appeared to be a non-yeast, self-rising dough. The whole thing was bland and undercooked. The veggies tasted strongly of citric acid, which is used as a preservative, and they were not fresh.
Today my girlfriend wanted hot wings and said she thought that Pizza Hut had them now. I ordered them for take out. The girl on the phone was painfully slow and I wound up repeating my order details three times. The price for two orders was $16! We drove through and paid at the window, as this was not a eat-in pizza hut.
The girl at the window forgot the Bleu Cheese dressing, which we specified for both orders. We called and she asked if we could drive back to get them, I said no... so after a pregnant pause she offered to send a driver out with them.
This pizza hut advertises something called "wing street" which I thought might be a step above regular fast food wings... they were terrible! They were not fried, they were obviously pre-cooked and warmed up in the same conveyor oven they they use for pizzas and sauced afterwards. The texture was like cold wax! Mine were spicy enough... my GF's were mild enough, but certainly not worth the price, or even at half!
NOW, a few hours later, we are copiously ill and fighting over the bathroom! My stomach is adding horrid punctuations to every sentence written here! NEVER...

They had more food items (toppings) packed on their pizza. The deep dish type pizza was really good. Excellent!!. Also as I was paying my bill I got a senior discount and a card (punch type) for next time (discount..free drink with buffet) with 10 punches for free buffet. Wow, free is for me. Anyway I will be stopping back in and see what will happen this coming winter...read below.
Winter 2/2019: I ate here several times during the summer. Recently I have gone to this place in the winter. When I go out to eat at a restaurant I expect that the temperature should be comfortable where I can take off my coat to enjoy the food. Some people were sitting around with their coats on. It had to be 65 degrees in the restaurant. The pizza was lukewarm and I tried a dish of noodles with sauce. The noodles with sauce was Stone Cold like you had just taking it out of a refrigerator. I called the waitress over to my table to complain that I could not eat this particular food because it was so cold. The waitress proceeded to tell me that the table temperature had been turned way down. At no time did she offer to bring me hot food. So if you enjoy the feeling that you're sitting outside eating your food and enjoy lukewarm to Stone Cold Foods then you will love this...
