We had a reservation for 6 PM, 6 people, when we walked in we sat down after telling them we were there. The hostess staff kept sitting people who were walking right in, the waiting area is super small, mostly taken up with a giant statue. They were even sitting tables of 6 that were walking right in. We ended up waiting for 30 minutes before we had to ask why we were not getting sat and they forgot about our reservation? 😂
Upon getting seated the waiter asks if we are new and then doesn't explain anything! Luckily I had been once to another location so I explained to my family.
The waiter only stopped at our table maybe 4 times total? (We were sitting for an hour and a half) The manager who doesn't speak a lick of English stopped by more and was more helpful, although I could tell he didn't know English. He didn't even know the word on, for the grill, kept just saying open? So I just said open and he turned on the grill.. lol
Getting refills, clearing old trays, getting more food were all issues and took way longer than expected. We also had no napkins and only 2 soup bowls, I had to steal from a near by table due to lack of service.
No dessert? Other than this nasty coconut thing? This location is seriously lacking in the cold and hot bars compared to Midlothian. I'll never visit this...
Read moreThe food was delicious. Although, the spicy beef bulgogi lacked flavor and was not spicy. My husband and I usually go to the Midlothian location. However, we both loved the addition of the hot bar!!!!! I think that is what saved the couple stars, because we basically served ourselves last night. Our server didn’t even give us her name, and seemed very unbothered almost as if we were annoying her by being there! I completely get that it must be overwhelming or maybe she was new to serving etc. but there was no engagement with us and it struck us as rude.
We had to ask other servers for help and get up and get our own napkins, tongs etc. We also had to ask her three times to turn our grill on. She kept telling us she did but it was not heating up. She acted annoyed that we were even asking. We asked a fourth time to have her turn it up because it wasn’t cooking our food properly, we were met with attitude. She did turn it up and then we were able to cook our food properly. We had to literally wave her down. It was more frustrating because we would watch her tend to other tables and we were forgotten in the corner. It was not the experience I wanted to have that night with my husband. The lack luster service really took away from the immersive experience and made me feel like I...
Read moreThis is a newly opened restaurant. Our family came here, and the wait was a bit long. Later, a guy named Eason seated us, explaining that they were quite busy because it was new opened. I could tell his English wasn't very good. We exchanged a few simple messages, and I encouraged him to speak more. He told me he had only recently moved here and had been in Boston before. He helped us place our order and then handed it over to the server. This restaurant will probably be a frequent spot...
