We had higher hopes for this place. They do have a dedicated gluten-free menu so I'll give them that.
We sat down for a while to decide on drinks. Waiter brought water and bread and noticed my wife's gluten-free menu so asked if she wanted gluten free bread (we didn't know and he didn't mention that this would be for a charge). We said yes & he left in a hurry even though we wanted to put in a drink order. He was gone for a while (we figured getting the GF bread), but then finally returned and did not have the bread. Took our drink order and brought them, but still no GF bread. He asked again "would you like some gluten-free bread?" as if it was the first time asked. We said yes again and didn't see him again until dinner. No GF bread ever arrived before dinner; my wife had to ask a third time and point out we had been waiting and by this point she didn't really want it anymore. We didn't think it should have taken 3 times asking.
For my meal, I got the braised short rib ravioli after reading what other reviews said. When it arrived, it was extremely salty! Now, I already have a very high salt tolerance so my wife knew if it was too salty for me, then it's really salty. Debated saying something but did, and the server asked them to make it again. The second one WAS less salty, but it was still salt high. If you don't like salty food, this is not the dish for you (though sure, it could just be the combination of flavors comes off strong or the way the meat is prepared, so take that with a grain of salt... no pun intended).
When it came for dessert, we again asked what was gluten-free and we were told only one item was. We asked if the mini turtle sundae was and the server said no, but could not answer when we asked what about it had gluten. It would be better if they could answer or at least ask.
Overall, very bleh experience. May...
Read moreI ordered from Biaggi's when I first moved to COS about 2 years ago and it was excellent. I ordered online a few weeks ago and got a call saying they had no pizza or take out boxes so canceled my order. Ordered two pasta dishes for curbside a few nights ago and wen to pick it up 5 minutes past the time they said it would be ready (7pm). I waited 25 min and when other cars that came after me were getting their curbside orders quickly, I asked the girl and she said she would check. No one ever came back out. another 10 minutes and someone came out to give another car their order so I asked again. She said the kitchen had made the wrong pasta dish on one of them and so she was having them make it. 15 minutes later she brings the food out. I asked if they re-made the other pasta dish as it was now going to be cold. She said no, they kept it under the warmer. She gave me a $15 gift card and said "sorry". The pasta dish that sat under the warmer was cold and gummy (you know how pasta gets when it sits) and was inedible. The other pasta dish was so salty it also couldn't be eaten. You know why restaurants give out gift cards, right? If you do come back, the $15 won't even cover an appetizer so I'll have to spend more money. If you don't come back, they're out nothing because that gift card was pennies on the dollar for them. You're the only one that loses. First of all, someone should have been in communication throughout the experience rather than leaving me sitting in the parking lot wondering. Both of the pasta dishes should have been re-made and the meal should have had a 50% comp. What really sucks is that because I ordered online, I paid up front and included a 20% tip so I can't speak with my dollars other than just never returning to Biaggi's. Which is exactly...
Read moreIf I want this caliber of pizza, I can go to Chuck E Cheese and at least enjoy some video games.
The wife and I thought we had a little gem we could go to whenever we were in the mood for a good pizza and some appetizers. It was great for a while... we've probably been a dozen times previously. But after this latest visit, we will not be returning. Our standard order: pepperoni pizza and French onion soup. At some point in the past months, management has totally changed these items. The photo of the whole pizza was taken in Dec 2023. Large, crisp pepperoni, zesty sauce, a nice bake. The other photo was last night. That was all I wanted to eat of it. Thick, doughy, undercooked, flavorless, tiny pepperonis, and the cheese just didn't seem right. I'm not exaggerating about the quality... it is the same pizza I expect at a children's party restaurant.
The French onion soup was equally sad. Previously it was a deep brown, hearty, and full of onions and flavor. Last night it was... grey. And almost all bread. Very little cheese, light on the onions, and like the pizza, almost flavorless.
The staff, which in the past had been attentive, never once came to check on us after the food came to the table. We suspect they are tired of hearing customers complain about the decline in quality.
Maybe the rest of the menu is still fine? But we don't go for the rest of the menu. Management has obviously decided to not only raise prices, but seriously cut the quality of the items we like. I've watched many restaurant chains disappear in my time. This is the first sign of impending failure. I hope they return to the quality we previously enjoyed. But that's not the way these things...
