01/25/25 – We visited this location and were disappointed to find all of the consistently negative reviews were not wrong!

1. SO SLOW! It took a full 30 minutes to get 4 sandwiches to go. There were 3 people in line in front of us, and it looked like another 3 groups waiting. It was not busy. We waited 10 minutes to get our order in. We used to go to the Lone Tree location, and they had the same problem to the point we stopped going. Evidently so did most other people because it closed and is now a Snarf’s What is fundamentally wrong with how Firehouse’s operate? Literally EVERY other sandwich shop is faster – Which Wich, Snarf’s Jimmy John’s, Subway, Taste of Philly, Schlotzsky’s, Jersey Mike’s, Pot Belly, etc., etc. They all sell similar sandwiches, and I have NEVER spent so long at any of them. Does management not read reviews? Why can’t they hire enough people so the process goes faster?
2. Dining room was a mess. Tables and floors were dirty, tables were uneven. Obviously, the employees are too busy making slow sandwiches to come clean or maintain the place.
3. Poor ordering and accuracy. We asked for 2 mediums and 2 larges, and the guy taking our order had 3 larges and one medium, with the medium being on the wrong sandwich. It was corrected, but we still got home with 3 larges and one medium. One of the sandwiches was supposed to be a Hook and Ladder, and it ended up being a Hero. They handed us our order and there were only two sandwiches, so they had to make two on the fly.
4. No attention to detail. They put the wet stuff, lettuce and tomato, on the bottom of the bread. So the bread got soggy, and the veggies dried out. By the time we got home the bottom of the roll was inedible. Sandwich 101 – the wet stuff goes in the middle! On the good side, the ingredients seemed fresh and tasty, so once we dismantled our sandwiches and threw away the bread, lettuce and tomato, we had a decent meal. 4a) One of our sandwiches was a veggie, and they didn't change gloves after working on the meat sandwiches. Nor did they remove their gloves when putting the sandwiches in the bags, so the bags were covered with oil, mayo, meat juices, etc. The bags were disgusting.

With so much competition, this just isn’t good enough. Value – at $60 for 4, including two meal deals, it’s not terrible value in this day and age, but we won’t be back. There are too many other much better and faster sandwich shops to risk a roll of the dice on this place. My family visited this establishment yesterday, and was so disappointed in our visit. They charged us over $30 more for our order than they should have. When I noticed, the sale had already gone through. I asked them to refund and not a single person in the establishment knew how to do that. They had to call a manager ( because apparently managers don’t work in the store) and she tried to guide him through the process, with no success. Them, on speaker phone, she said to have the customer call tomorrow because her phone was going dead and she didn’t want to deal with it. Meanwhile, our food has been sitting behind the counter getting cold. By the time we got our food, the bread was hard and the sandwiches were disgusting. My salad was more brown soggy lettuce than anything, and completely inedible. They offered to microwave our food for us, are you kidding me. $75 down the drain, and empty stomachs on our 1.5 hour drive home. I will be calling to get my full refund, not just the mistakes they made refunded as was initially intended. Awful, incompetent service and even worse food.

I have literally been all over the world. Thirty-three countries to be exact, and on five continents, and well over 1,000 dining establishments, including a LOT of sub shops.

My son introduced me to Firehouse Subs yesterday. We were greeted with a warm and friendly "Hello! Welcome to Firehouse Subs!" as we entered their immaculately clean establishment. The menu was impressive, a good deal more appealing than any competitor. The meticulous detail with which they prepared our subs resulted in a visually appealing sub free from any sogginess. They had an array of more than 20 sauces ranging from very mild to exceptionally hot.

The best thing about their subs was the taste! OMG! I have NEVER had a sub that tasted so good! It was SO good that instead of wolfing it down like I normally do, I actually slowed down, savoring every bite!

As a veteran, I greatly appreciate the dedication Firehouse Subs shows with respect to making the finest sub sandwich I have ever tasted, anywhere, along with their support of all military and civilian professionals who help keep our nation and our people safe.
