Just had the worst experience I’ve ever had at Michael’s. Was checking out with the last of an item and it didn’t have a tag. A young kid named Cole said he was the manager and proceeded to try and find the item so we could ring it up properly. That was fine until after 20 min of searching the website and taking photos of the item several times he couldn’t find it. I said it was next to an item of similar function and size for 4.99 he said you wish and proceeded to try and find it. Wasn’t able to find it and after several more minutes he just tried to ring it up as some random item at 14.99. I said oh you found it and he said no it’s something similar, my response was, since it’s missing the tag why not take the similar price I mentioned earlier, he said sir you can take it or leave it that is what I am going to charge you with a massive amount of attitude. I voided my whole purchase and walked out due to poor customer service. Will not be returning to this location and any manager that treats customers like that should be demoted or fired. We were looking for extra items for our Watch Night service at church (NYE).
The store was clean and the staff were helpful and friendly.
There is this one guy cashier that went above and beyond. I can't remember his name - but I do remember our conversation. He had relocated from Florida and was getting used to the cold. His personality was very nice and his voice was very calming.
I thought to myself and actually said to my friend with me that - he was in the wrong place working. I could see him doing something in radio broadcast or tv - because his tone and personality were A+.
I've never had a better experience at Micheals and hardly ever shop here - but this employee makes me want to visit more often.

Read moreI just had a very bad experience here. I needed a simple white mat. After talking briefly to the girl at the counter, she told me to wait while she helped another customer. The other customer was still comparing mat colors, and they weren't even conversing. Five minutes later she was still comparing mat colors and my kids were starting to go stir crazy, so I left for a few minutes and came back. Same deal, I was still ignored, so I decided I would get my mat elsewhere. On the way out, I spoke to the manager who told me it was MY fault for not asking her to call for backup, and that next time I needed to ask for her to ask for backup, because apparently customer service is the customer's job now.
