I've had problems with this location prior to this, so I already stopped eating there. However, today they left two flyers advertising a sub sale, which I consider garbage, on my vehicle when I was shopping at Sam's club (under my windshield wipers). That used to happen a lot, but pretty much everybody hates it, including the merchant whose property you went on to leave them, so almost everybody stopped doing it, except, I guess, this JJ. Sam's has a concessions area where they sell food (pizza slices, etc.) and drinks. Not to mention two other sandwich shops in that same parking lot. Yet JJ (a competitor for these businesses) thinks it is OK to leave flyers on the vehicles of their customers, I guess in an attempt at encouraging them to eat elsewhere? So, when I saw that, I decided I would tell JJ what I thought of that, and drove to the location and asked them not to put trash on my vehicle. The manager told me it's not trash, it is advertising. I repeated that they can't be putting things, ANY thing, on my truck. She mockingly squinted to the parking lot and said "Ok, next time we do that we'll look for a red Tacoma and make sure none get put on it." And her and another JJ employee laughed. At that point I realized I was not getting anywhere, so I left. I contacted Sam's club, not only did Jimmy Johns not get permission to distribute those flyers in their parking lot, it is not allowed at any Sam's Club location, anywhere. My next stop is the BBB. Not sure what criteria you use for choosing where to spend your money, but those are red flags for me. There are more than a few sandwich...
Read moreSoggy sandwich, but I don't bother leaving bad reviews when getting a bad JJ's sandwich. Happens too often. Used to not be a big deal, but they've gotten really proud of their low effort menu...so now they get a review. Their current business practices are a big problem. Advertising "freaky fast" delivery then farming out to Uber eats or door dash without any heads up to the customer is asinine. Took 40 minutes to get 1 sandwich delivered because they farmed it out to an ubereats driver that was all the way across town. Sandwich arrived soggy since it sat for 15-20 minutes after it was ready for pickup. They also throw in predatory fees that are not fixed. Adding a slim#5 to an order for a classic Italian changed the delivery fee from $3.99 (drivers don't get a piece of this either) to $5.99 to deliver. If you can't deliver without price gouging the customer just don't offer delivery. So $2 more to an already inflated delivery menu price (different prices than in-store/pickup). People aren't stupid. This location won't last bending over their clientele, such as they are currently. Greedy franchisee...or just bad at business. Either way I won't be doing my weekly orders until they fix these outrageous "penalties" for having the audacity to order "freaky fast" delivery. Photos of the "Two sandwich tax" and without. 2 sandwiches, with the higher delivery menu pricing already applied, went from $18 to $26 WITHOUT tip. Completely unacceptable. Over $30 for an original and a slim to be delivered 2 miles...
Read moreThis is a recurring issue we have with this particular Jimmy John's: They never add the extras we pay for on our sandwiches, they don't ever cut the sandwiches in half when I ask and hardly remove the things we don't like, such as tomatoes. Sometimes they are quick to fix it but tonight they weren't quick and they were rude. When I first called the lady said we'll send a new one and hung up with out asking or telling me anything. When I called back they said 30 minutes at least and there's nothing more they could do. After they got done passing the phone around the manager finally took it and refused to do anything else until I insisted on getting a new sandwich and my money back for the sandwich, she reluctantly agreed to only give me store credit. I always tip at least 20% and try not to be rude but this time it nearly sucked the life force out of me to not chew these people out. Working in the food industry can suck, but they shouldn't be trying to make it worse...
