A Fiesta of Flavors at Las Tortugas
If you're looking for a place that serves up a fiesta of flavors, then look no further than Las Tortugas. This place is like the United Nations of burritos and tortas - they've got every kind and filling you can think of!
Their flan is so good, it'll make you want to learn Spanish just so you can compliment it in its native language. And their Jamaica and Horchata? Let's just say they're the BeyoncƩ of beverages - flawless.
Now, let's talk about the coin machines. They've got more coin machines than a Las Vegas casino. I half expected to see a one-armed bandit in the corner!
When you walk in, you'll notice a big empty space. It's like they're planning to host a salsa dancing competition or something. But hey, they're new, so I'm sure they're still figuring things out.
Now, I won't lie to you. The prices are a bit steep. I mean, I paid 40 bucks for 2 tortas and a horchata. But let me tell you, it was worth every penny. The tortas were so good, I was half tempted to ask them if they accept payment in the form of interpretive dance.
And if you're wondering what to order, I highly recommend the Al Pastor. It's so delicious, it'll make you want to write a love letter to a pig.
So, if you're in the mood for a culinary adventure, head on over to Las Tortugas. Just remember to bring your appetite... and maybe a few extra coins for...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreUpon a recent visit to this particular establishment, I found the food to be enjoyable, but overpriced. The sandwiches, of decent size, were priced significantly higher than comparable options at other local restaurants. The pricing was a notable detractor from the overall dining experience.
The burritos, while commendably large, were unfortunately poorly wrapped. They fell apart upon eating, which was disappointing and a negative to the overall enjoyment of the dish.
In terms of environment, the restaurant left much to be desired. The interior was rather plain with no decorations featuring stainless steel tables and high chairs that provided a blank environment.
Another concern was the service time. Despite there being only two other customers in the restaurant, the food took a substantial 20-30 minutes to prepare. This delay seemed excessive given the lack of customers at the time of my visit.
Regrettably, based on this experience, I do not see myself returning to visit this establishment in the near future. Furthermore, I would be hesitant to recommend this restaurant to others, primarily due to the high prices, the lack of consideration in food preparation, and the less than...

The highlight of my visit was undoubtedly the Chicken Quesadilla. It was one of the best Iāve ever hadāthe cheese was perfectly melted, and the chicken was seasoned to perfection. Each bite was a delightful combination of flavors that left me wanting more.
My companions enjoyed the Street Tacos, which were packed with all the right ingredients. The green salsa that accompanied the tacos was a standout, adding a burst of freshness and spice that elevated the dish.
I also tried the Torta, which was very good. While I felt it could have used a bit more meat, the overall taste was wonderful. The balance of flavors was just right, making it a satisfying and delicious choice.
Overall, Las Tortugas offers an amazing culinary experience with a warm and welcoming atmosphere. I highly recommend it to anyone in the Colorado Springs area looking for authentic and flavorful...
