Okay, I don’t understand how this place is so highly rated. It HAS to be the drinks. For appetizers we got the red pepper dip and the calamari dish. Those were mediocre at best. The dip just comes with a couple pieces of flat bread and carrots on the side. The calamari rings were so soggy on the outside and overcooked on the inside. Now to the entree. My husband and I both got the prohibition burger. I don’t know what the “Meat” was made out of but it was DISGUSTING. The patty was soggy and looked like a precooked monstrosity. My husband asked for pink on the inside and it looked exactly like mine which was well done. They had no seasoning on it and every bite had oil or grease pouring out. I looked at the patty and it was like a PASTE inside. My husband did the same thing. He compared the patty to a vegan patty where they mush it together and the texture. He took three bites and couldn’t eat anymore which was way further than I got. It was one of the foulest things I’ve ever tasted. Not to mention the bacon on it was pure soggy fat. I do not recommend this to anyone. It’s been an hour since we ate. I’m still sick to my stomach. I literally feel traumatized by it and can’t get the texture out of my head. Please be cautious if you eat here.
Reply to owner:: I’m sorry that it upsets you that we both wrote a review but we both had a terrible experience and both felt the need to be heard. As far as the quality of food goes. I don’t think it’s right to claim “nothing is artificial.our ingredients are the freshest available in every market” and then serve $18 mushy pre frozen patties. I looked at others reviews of the burger and their pictures and it is not at all what we were served. The patties were perfectly round (manufactured) flat and WAY bigger than the bun. They were as if you guys ran out of meat and bought frozen cheap patties from somewhere else. They were inedible. There was nothing fresh about that burger. I’m upset that we spent $100 on food we couldn’t even finish. I was honestly worried I was going to get sick from whatever that “meat” was. Thank you for your response to my husband and we’d gladly accept a refund...
Read moreIt was a great meal! When we went in for dinner they asked if we wanted to sit at the bar, it was a little odd. Maybe because we were in hiking hear. Anyway, we said no, and they said to sit anywhere. We sat in a window by the back patio. Menu is short and they were out of a couple things. In fact we were thinking of getting up and leaving. But I convinced my significant other to hive it a chance. He ordered the shrimp and grits. I, the hummus and steak and peppers (2 appetizers). I originally wanted the wagu steak, but they said I had to cook it myself on a hot stone. Sorry, but I really was not in the mood to go through all that. It should be an option, not requirement. So I went with the wagu seak appetizer. It was small, not dinner portion, but really Good! Server asked if we wanted dessert. I said I saw the lavender creme brule. He said he had to check, he thought they were out of that too. Vame back and said they were making them freash and would het one out to me in 15 minutes. I thought it was strange since creme brule need to set cold. So I was not surprised when it came out a lavender creme pudding brule, nice an warm. It was still good, and would have been amazing if it was finished and chilled and set. We had two coffees and asked for sugar... Get this, they were out of sugar too. But the sever found an old box of beat up sugar cubes he set on the table. It was not the most professional experience, but what we did have (and what they did have left) was good. I say give it a chance, maybe it was a bad day ;) If you enjoyed my photos or this has helped in any way, please Like my review and follow. Read moreWas very disappointed by the food here tonight. The calamari was somehow over cooked on the inside and under cooked on the outside. Quite the incredible feat. Not only that, but it was so overly salted I couldn’t really tell you if the flavor was good or not. The prohibition burger sounded amazing. However there were so many things wrong that I could not even finish it. First, the burger was very obviously a frozen pre made patty. The texture of it was so odd. Almost looked like beyond meat, but more grey and with even less flavor. I don’t know why they would even bother asking what temp I want my burger because they all looked well done and my wife and I were questioning whether it was even meat. Aside from that, there was no seasoning on the patty. Maybe the cooks used all the salt on the calamari and just didn’t have any leftover? The bacon on the burger was soggy and not cooked. It was like biting raw fat off of a NY strip and trying to eat it. The onions were bitter and the flavors didn’t meld. The only saving grace was that the parm truffle fries were ok. Far from the best I have ever had, but certainly not as bad as the rest of the food. I am left a bit perplexed by the reviews here, the food was horrible, cheap, and unworthy of its price. I unfortunately would recommend eating somewhere else. Thank god there was a five guys across the street. Less than half the price and somehow 5 times the quality.
I would like to mention that our waiter was delightful and the only reason I didn’t make a scene.
0/10 would...
