Papa Murphy's | Take 'N' Bake Pizza — Restaurant in Colorado Springs

Absolutely horrible. This is my FIRST negative review on this platform. Firstly, my delivery order was incomplete. Upon letting the delivery driver know there was an missing item and looking at the confusion on his face, I learned that he didn't know English. I then called the store and explained the situation for 15 minutes because the, what I could assume to be a teenager, could not process that an item was missing from my delivery. Once he digested what I was saying, he told me that I could come to the store and pick up the missing item or receive a refund. I declined to to go pick it up because I ordered DELIVERY for a reason, plus I prepaid the merchant a 25% tip, not to mention the delivery fee. I was told I should see the refund within 72 hours, which was an acceptable reply for me. However 15 minutes later, I get a voicemail from the same young man stating that the owner said they are not able to refund the item because it was the delivery person's fault and that I should call Doordash. (?!?!?!)

So, I call Doordash (which was way more professional and sympathetic to my issue). However, they called Papa Murphys to inquire and then send them the refund, yet they got the same fiasco as I did.

This is truly unacceptable. The fact that they contract their delivery out and yet claim no responsibility for ensuring the ENTIRE order is picked up by the appropriate driver, is incomprehensible. This is a bad business practice and I will be reporting them to the BBB. They have lost my business FOREVER and whenever a chance permits, I will use this experience and my influence to educate people on the irresponsible practices of...

In 2017, I left a 5 star review for this Papa Murphy's location due to great and friendly staff and quick service.

In 2024, I am changing this to a 1 star review.

The reason for my low rating is the staff are not friendly, they are slow and they skimp on toppings. In the past, a family size pepperoni pizza had 80+ pepperoni slices with wall to wall slices. Over the past few months, I have ordered no less than 10 family size pepperoni pizzas. Each time, I counted the number of pepperoni slices and the most I ever received was 36 with an average of 30. I even asked for extra pepperoni and received 38 slices. Don't even get me started in the low amount of cheese

And in the 10 times I have called and ordered pizza and gone to pick it up, the staff has sounded and behaved like I am interrupting their nap and that it's an inconvenience to take my call or have me come pay for my pizza.

As much as I love Papa Murphy's pizza, I will not be visiting this location again unless I hear that things have significantly...

The owner needs to take a visit before the health department gets called. This place is DIRTY! This place needs a deep clean. I ordered and sat down to wait and regretted ordering the pizza... Underneath their pizza station looks like it hasn't been cleaned in years, not to mention the floors look awful. They have a jankey sign with sharpie that say "Take & Bake" The amount of corners cut at this place makes me worry. The back side of the pizza station has been torn off and looks like corkscrew. What in the world does the back kitchen look like. I actually prefer not to know because I won't be back. Please take some time to clean this place up. We were then given the wrong pizza and my husband looked at me and said "no we're good, lets just go". . While we were waiting there was only two people who came in and they were denied the online coupon and ended up leaving and not ordering. Such an odd business. I know this is franchise owned but Papa Murphy's corporate should probably take a look...
