We hadn't been to Red Robin in a long time. We went on a weeknight and then again that next Saturday with my parents because our son loved it so much. The burgers are top notch and I'm in love with the zucchini fries! You really can't beat the unlimited fries deal. Plus my husband had a root beer float that was also unlimited. He drank three of these babies and they gave him one to go! 😅 My son got unlimited strawberry lemonades. That's pretty rare these days. I had the whiskey river burger and it was delicious! The service we had on the weeknight was outstanding. Our waitress was really attentive and kind. I wish I remembered her name. She had a baby girl I think. When we went on the weekend the service wasn't as great. Our waitress forgot to bring us the refill on our fries, it was pretty busy, so we understood. The fries were also not as fresh and crispy as on the weeknight. She was still kind however. Made sure we had drinks. The only person that was downright rude was the hostess. It was packed, my son was starving and it was a thirty minute wait...which we understood and agreed to wait. We found a table in the bar area and a waitress said we could sit there. We were just getting beers and we were gonna order my son some fries or something while we waited. The bar was busy, but they were getting people taken care of quick. At this point I had my husband wait in the lobby while my parents and I ordered drinks at the bar. We happened upon the table and the waitress was making sure we could sit there. It was on the other side of the bar...not close to the actual bar...by a window. The hostess came to find us and told us we couldn't sit there...that kids were actually not allowed anywhere in the bar. She told us the server was new and didn't know. She was very rude about it. So my husband waited with our son out front, while the parents and I waited on our drinks. She could have been more tactful about it. I've also never been to a restaurant where the bar is inside the restaurant...and kids aren't allowed at the tables. So strange. When you have a packed house like that...it wouldn't hurt to have extra seating. I'm not really sure what the difference is in having a beer with our kid at the table in the restaurant...or in the bar area. It's not like people go to Red Robin to escape children. It's a family friendly place. Anyways, I would go back, but probably only...
Read more2 years later: Can't say enough about this restaurant. They accommodated our request to sit outside, wiping down the desired table, chairs and opening up the umbrella. To the Hostess that did that. Thank you.
Our waitress Hailey didn't miss a beat with us being on the patio and her other tables inside. She was great about checking in regularly. She's friendly, accurate with order requests and professional. I couldn't brag enough about Hailey to the manager that stopped by to check on our dining experience.
We tried the Hot Honey wings and just not our taste. Nice to try but wouldn't order them again. Unlike the Southwestern Chicken Salad that is my go to here and always on point -I love the fried jalapeño coins in the salad, it all comes together so well.
You guys are my favorite Red Robin in town, for the above reasons- fantastic service, great food and more importantly the consistency with them. I know I can count on the restaurant for all the right reasons.
Initial review: This is my favorite Red Robin restaurant. The service is always fantastic and the food fresh, hot and tasty! We ordered the SAVORY STEAKHOUSE BURGER and split it in 3rds, we also ordered the FOUNDERS FAVORITE Donatos Pizza, and basically had a small Buffett. We also order the cheese sauce for the fries and it's ok as long as you eat it while it hot.
The burger was so incredibly delicious, living up to the same noisy tasty burgers I can expect from Red Robin.
The Pizza was so good I forgot to get a pic until we were 1/2 way through it. I love the banana peppers on it.
We also got the strawberry lemonade cake. Good, but very sweet with just enough tartness to it, lots of lemon flavor if you like that.
The adult beverages (prickly pear and a house) margaritas heard nothing complaints from their drinkers.
Highly recommend THIS location. Consistent. Delicious. Great service....
Read moreI love Red Robin, and I am a former employee of multiple Colorado locations. The Southgate location is the worst location I have ever visited; and I have given it multiple chances. This location is my neighborhood restaurant, so I really wanted to enjoy this restaurant, but every time has been awful. The smiling burger isn't a thing at this location. The food is often cold -- especially the fries. The service is always hit or miss, in that many of the staff isn't friendly or even want to be there.
My most recent experience, last night, I ordered for pick-up. The order wasn't ready on time. There were other people that were waiting for their pickup orders as well that were very upset. The hostess/pickup-attendant had a very poor disposition, and her tone was very negative. She clearly didn't want to be of service. She explained my total was $7 and change, for a single burger and fries. I handed her a $20 bill. She turned and walked away, before turning back to ask if I wanted change. I said, "Yes". I was happy to tip for my order, but less than happy to tip this individual for the attitude, and definitely not going to tip 175% for a poor attitude on a single burger. She sighed, and then slumped off. After talking to a server 15 feet away for some time (while my food got even colder), she finally came back with my change. I still tipped her (20%), under silent protest.
Management is always pleasant and more than willing to try to remedy mistakes or make up for a poor experience. The staff is just really, really making it hard on them. I didn't speak to management about this experience -- I just won't be returning to this location.
I would never recommend the Southgate Red Robin location to anyone -- unless I was very...
