I am writing because this location has infuriated me for the last time...This location is by far the WORST location in Colorado Springs, maybe even in Colorado. The employees are always so incredibly rushed and rude, and because of this, orders are made sloppily, incorrectly, or just not made at all.
I work right around the corner. The office takes turns going to pick up lunch and every single one of us have experienced the same thing with this store.
I go in today and tell the girl I will be ordering two bowls and one burrito. It is around 1 pm so it is busy and LOUD as usual for a Chipotle. I can barely hear her. She gets frustrated when I say, "What was that?" when I ask her to repeat her question. She asks what kind of rice, beans and meat I want on the two bowls. I tell her that on the first bowl I want white rice, black beans and chicken. The second bowl gets no rice or beans. She scoops up fajita mix and I ask if she can put that in the bowl that currently only has chicken. She dumps it on the wrong bowl and I correct her. She puts her hand on her hip, looks around and sighs, as if to ask what she should do now. I tell her it's fine and ask if we can just move along. She makes the bowls all the way to the last ingredient (no help) then disappears back to the starting line to help the next customer and completely forgets about the burrito. I mention that I still need the burrito and she SIGHS AGAIN and I was just so furious I said forget it.
THIS HAPPENS ALL THE TIME IN ONE FASHION OR ANOTHER!
On another note, the employees here are RUDE and the store is always a mess. Every single table is dirty and you always see countless employees huddled together talking when they should be working.
Do you not have management there? Supervision?
I know that you probably don't have to go above and beyond because the demand is there, but this store is a POOR example of every other Chipotle, even the ones I don't necessarily care to visit.
GET IT TOGETHER PLEASE! Ignore an individual customer all you want, but the reviews speak...
Read moreLet's get started with this one. So this review is based off of 3 visits. The first 2 visits, I was hard pressed to find somebody who even knew how to make a quesadilla. The 1st time I went to this location, they failed about 4 times before making one because because the tortilla kept ripping. Even as the inexperienced lady tried and failed 3x, her male co worker chuckled and gave a "Here you dont know how to do it, let me do it" before ripping the next attempt. 2nd time I came here and I asked for the same thing, a chicken and cheese quesadilla. So, on this attempt not only did I wait about 40 mins to be seen on a extremely slow moving line, but the cook asks me "What would you like on your chicken and cheese quesadilla?" ....... Chicken???? And cheese ? Preferably in between a toasted tortilla. 3rd time was today, and even though the line was extremely short it took forever yet again. The young man making everybody's food was already overloaded and his co worker decided to clean bathrooms rather than help. When his friend finished the bathrooms, not only did he mess up on a extremely simple order (chips, cheese with a side of chicken since they ran out of tortillas ?????) The guy who was in the bathroom almost accidentally added extra food to my order, and forget to throw in my chips. He was also taking a personal call on his phone whilst ringing me up (and he looked either high as hell or extremely lost on the register.) Would never come here as they seem to not know what they're doing nor do they care about...
Read moreToday I ordered online and Chipotle's website said our meal would be ready by 1:00 (just a burrito and a bowl - nothing special). I walked in to a complete disaster. It was clear the staff could not keep up with demand and management had lost control of the place.
The in-person ordering line had 30 customers stacked up to order and another 10 customers were standing around waiting for online orders. Dine-in tables were a mess and the trash cans were so full with trash it was accumulating on the floor. The server staff had their heads down trying to ignore angry stares while the manger placated waiting customers with lies about their food coming out soon while trying to look flustered and busy.
If I had somewhere else to be I'd have left but decided to wait it out. There was some entertainment value to watching the chaos ensue. I finally received my food at 1:52 (almost an hour late).
Recommendations for Chipotle: 1) Allow the store to provide accurate wait times on the online ordering site - 60 min late is unacceptable. 2) Shut off online ordering if customer volume is overwhelming. 3) Offer some form of reimbursement when this happens - free chips or a burrito voucher would at least acknowledge your failure and might help you keep customers.
For what it's worth, my food tasted fine and the order...
