So disappointing… I truly loved this place. :(
I ordered two burritos today, one with carne asada beans and rice cilantro and onion and one the same without onion. Sadly it was wrong. It had sour cream and lettuce (I can’t eat dairy so when I bit into it you can understand why I was upset).
I never got the name of the girl working Saturday morning 02/04/23 around 9:30-10am but she was the rudest lady I’ve ever dealt with there. Usually it’s a man at the front and he’s so nice! I’ve absolutely loved this place and spent hundreds of dollars there. Now I gotta find a new one.
I called to let her know my burrito was wrong and she argued with me saying it wasn’t wrong and she watched the guy make it. Saying there was no lettuce or sour cream. Why would I lie about that? (Photo for evidence). I also asked for extra limes when I left and she said they’re in the bag. Yes. One tiny one cut in a sliver in the bag.
They said they’d remake it or give me a refund if I brought it back. I said it’s a health concern to take back someone’s food they took a few bites into it back to the kitchen and she said “well we have to check to be sure”. So now they’re taking food people have eaten back in the kitchen?
Maybe it was just an off day.. cause I truly loved this place. But if I ever see that lady behind the counter again I’m immediately leaving and finding somewhere else. She didn’t even apologize for the order being wrong. She seemed truly like she hated...
Read moreWas recommended Tacos El Amigo by a Facebook food group. Was not disappointed. Would go back.
I ordered the Tacos De Birria, absolutely delicious. Lots of flavor, juicy. The dipping broth that goes with it was good. Salsas were good, not super hot. Everything had lots of good savory flavor. It came with dipping broth, half a lime, radish, grilled onion, red salsa and a grilled Jalapeño if you wanted to add heat as well. He got the Tacos El Pastor. Meat was marinated and flavorful, again, not overly spicy. Came with grilled onion, radish, lime, red salsa and green salsa. The Camarones (shrimp) Taco was different. It had avocado and cabbage on it with a medium heat sauce. It came with a lime as well. We got nachos. Just your basic processed cheese sauce over chips. But it was good. We were offered jalapeños for them but declined. The Horchata was good and we got a bottled Mexican Coke.
The lady who was behind the counter was friendly and helpful with our questions. We sat in the dining room and she checked us a couple times to make sure we didn't need anything. There are plastic dividers between the booths for Covid Safe practices and the center tables are x'd off. Total about...
Read moreBest Mexican food by far. The chicken quesadilla was steaming hot and full of cheese and chicken. The guacamole that came with it was the best one I've ever had. The Quesabirria tacos were delicious, a lot of meat and cheese in them and I see why this place is famous for the Birria tacos. Everyone must try them at least once. Everything was made fresh and the quality of the food is really high. I like how the menu is really simple and easy to understand. The plate always comes out of the kitchen looking exactly as the picture on the menu and that's awesome. I recommend this place a lot and I can't wait to eat here again!
Edit: we came here for a third time. Food is always delicious, made fresh and piping hot! I've noticed the place got bigger and so much nicer, with many tables. There is also music now. We tried horchata and it was very good, it has a little bit of nutmeg in it I think. Husband tried 6 tacos and he said they were delicious and very filling! They also come with cooked onions and pepper and radish. The menu changed a little and they also added a breakfast menu with very affordable prices! Can't...
