I'm a part of the Facebook group COS foodies and there was a posting about this new Indian restaurant on the south end of town. I was one of the first commenters and I decided I would be the first to step up and try this new place! I was intrigued because they do offer some chef specials Pakistani style offerings! I called ahead early in the afternoon to kind of check out how the phone service was, absolutely lovely, and the individual took time to explain some of the differences with the Pakistani offerings and made a recommendation to me which I did take. I walked in right about 7:00 p.m. and was greeted with a beautiful red rug and a lovely chandelier. This is the fourth day it was open, and it's already fully set up, fully decorated, has a live cashiering station, and has all the to go prep right at the front. The front desk gentleman was super conversational, and while we were waiting for my meal he and I had a lively conversation discussing the multiple Indian food venues across the city. He definitely knew his stuff! The owner came out to greet me and to confirm that I wanted mild spice level, and showed me some of the luncheon thali offerings and that looked fantastic! They let me know that they are now registered with DoorDash and with Uber eats, and since this is the closest Indian food downtown---definitely a great way to soothe the middle of the day Indian hankerings! The manager was super nice and gifted me a mango lassi to go with my order. I did choose to go with something completely original for me, I tried the mango chicken curry and my goodness is it fantastic! If you are a fan of ty pineapple curry or you like pineapples rice, you will absolutely love this dish! Mango cooks beautifully into the rich sauce and it's sweet and I absolutely think some chilly heads could pump up the spice level and really enjoy this! I do have to tell you that the serving was quite large, with the rice and the chicken curry it was probably 4 lb worth of food if not more! I did order two naan breads, I chose a garlic butter and the aloo potato stuffed..... This is a soft malleable style with some stretch to it, very tooth-some! Really fantastic! This is the type that Grandma would make! No dried hard bits, no crispy dried out naan here! 😃😃😃 I then did try the Pakistani chef special which was chicken karahi. Again an extremely large portion! I really like this, I appreciated that the spice level was mild and it definitely had some more complex seasonings. Think warming and fall-season spices.... And if I was tasting it correctly I think it had green chilis instead of Indian red chilies 🌶️.
Overall this is a really great shop, really appreciated that I got to try it right after it opened, I really appreciated the attention and the extra service that I received. So much food, price appropriately! Please make sure to try some Pakistani dishes you will enjoy the spices, and do come seek out this mango chicken curry.... As it really is something...

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Must-Visit for Flavorful Indian-Pakistani Food!
Visited Yumz Indian Cuisine recently with a couple of friends, and we were absolutely famished. Not sure what to order, we asked if they had a thaali option—and they gladly offered us a vegetarian thaali, which turned out to be a perfect choice!
Each of us got a hearty spread with three delicious curries—Butter Paneer, Chole, and Dal Tadka—along with a fully-stuffed, crispy Aloo Samosa and some amazing Veg Pakoras that were crunchy and full of flavor. Every item was well-prepared and tasted authentic.
Unfortunately, we were so hungry that we dove right in and forgot to take pictures—except for one we managed to capture!
The best part? The staff was friendly and allowed us to adjust the spice level to our liking. Also, it’s great to note that the entire menu is purely HALAL, offering an authentic mix of Indian and Pakistani dishes.
Highly recommended if you’re craving comforting, flavorful...
Read moreMy family loves Indian food and Yumz is some of the best we have tried in Colorado!!! We ordered lamb biryani, lamb tikka masala, chicken karahi, two types of naan, and kheer for dessert. The lamb was cooked perfectly and very tender in both the tikka masala and biryani. Each item was well-seasoned and so flavorful, even down to the basic basmati rice! We loved how rich the tikka masala was; my husband even commented that it was THE BEST he has ever had! The biryani was not dry at all and the red onions and egg complemented the complex flavors of the dish. We appreciated that the kheer was a real rice pudding and not a rice soup like we’ve had from other Indian restaurants. My husband mentioned to the cashier that he loved the rice pudding (which he had just tried from Yumz the previous day) and the cashier was nice enough to give us a complimentary order of kheer on top of the one we already had. We will definitely be back the next time we visit...
