This was my first time at Blackrock Coffee. I received a gift card for my birthday from my chiropractor last year and finally decided to stop in and give them a try. Man was I disappointed. First of all I walked up to the front register and it appeared there were 3 people working but they were all serving drive thru customers. One girl kept walking by the front register and it was obvious she was trying to avoid eye contact with me every time she walked by. I probably waited a solid 10 minutes before she finally came to take my order. When I gave her my gift card as payment she informed me that they changed their system last year and my gift card no longer works on the new system so she had no way of looking up the amount even though the gift card wasn’t old. She offered to just comp my drink which I hope was fair. I have no idea how much my gift card was so I don’t know if the offer was fair or if I got ripped off. After I finally received my order the latte was pretty good. Definitely better than Starbucks which I swear always tastes like milk and no coffee, but I feel like overall Dutch Bros is similar to Blackrock although slightly better flavor and far superior service. There are so many competitors when it comes to coffee I don’t think there’s really any reason to consider Blackrock in the future. If I want fast and inexpensive coffee, Dunkin is a better choice and if I want better service and similar customization Dutch Bros...
Read moreWent to Black Rock this evening, whoever took my order was extremely short and unfriendly with me when I quickly placed my order, knowing exactly what I wanted. I knew Black Rock is known to close earlier than some of the other coffee shops but I was not sure exactly when, however I saw another car ordering at the drive thru so I assumed they were open. I got there at 6:55 pm. Which upon looking it up and seeing they close at 7pm is possibly why the girl taking my order was so short and unfriendly. I get my drink, tip them, and start to pull away and notice that they gave me the wrong size drink (which they did this less than a week ago as well). I ordered and paid for a large and was given a medium (20oz). Twice in a row. Additionally, my drink was not completely blended so I had the pleasure of choking down chunks of matcha powder. There’s more, the lavender I asked for with the matcha was not in it. I understand they were closing in 5 minutes but next time don’t even take my order if you are going to be snotty, and then charge me over 7 dollars for a matcha that is the wrong size, barely blended, and missing lavender.
Other times I’ve been to this location the employees have been nice and friendly. The drinks are fairly average, nothing special but decent. The only food I’ve had are the breakfast burritos...
Read moreI am a regular at this location in Parker and stopped in today, Sunday morning, 11.3.2024. I only get one drink from Black Rock, and that is a Hot Decaf Americano. On rare occasions, they either forget the fourth shot or, for some reason, the shots do not pull correctly. I honestly do not care because on the rare occasion this happens, they promptly fix the issue. Today, 11.3, when it was brought to the manager's attention, she rudely stated that "she watched this being made, and there were four shots put in the drink." It was expressed to the manager that I'm a regular and that I know this was not made correctly. She insisted that it was made correctly and that if I thought it was too weak, we could add another shot. Frustrated with the response, I just walked away. She never once apologized or offered to fix the issue.
I sat down to finish an email and heard her say to a separate customer that she was sorry for the wait and that their machine wasn't pulling correctly. So, that tells you right there this issue is with the machine.
I hate to write this review as this is my favorite coffee, period. But, I have to say, she should really take some soft skill training to know how a manager should treat...
