This last weekend was not great with Freddy’s. We love Freddy’s food, but they’ve dropped the ball a couple times now. The first time, I placed an online order to be delivered. I did this, because I was home alone with 5 children and 1 of them had a 103 fever. I didn’t want to leave the house to go get the food, since it is usually a long wait in the drive through. The food was supposed to be delivered by 6:43. At 6:53 I got a text and received an email that my order was canceled. So unacceptable to do that to someone.
My children were all disappointed and hungry. I told them we could try the next day. This was after crying from the stress of trying to figure out dinner last minute and worried about trying to get a fever under control for my little one.
The next day, I went in person, to make it up to my kiddos. It was an order for 6 people. They missed a french fry and one of the sundaes. Also, one of the concretes was supposed to be double cookie dough, but instead got double chocolate chips. Not so bad if it wasn’t for someone who doesn’t like chocolate.
I suppose if you’re only ordering a very small order you might be okay, but McDonalds and Chick-fil-A are capable of handling larger orders better. I’m highly disappointed and don’t think we’ll be back for awhile. Hopefully in the future they’ll have figured things out better. I definitely DON’T recommend trying to get...
Read moreA very generous three star rating here. Giving three stars because I know how difficult it is to find, train, and retain employees. The restaurant looked like a TJ Max/Ross toys section, i.e., half of the product on the shelf and half on the floor. (Actually more like Last Chance in Phoenix if you know what I mean😉(The store where Nordstrom Rack goods go to die)). Every table needed to be wiped, none were. The beverage area was not stocked with napkins/straws and was filthy— I opened the storage cabinet below the beverage counter and helped myself to some napkins. I used the napkins to partially clean the least soiled table and took a seat. The floor was blanketed in fries and trash. The staff was in a frenzy over a leaking chocolate custard unit. The food took nearly 30 minutes – – I generally like to take my time and relax so I did not mind - but if I were in a hurry, the delay would have been an issue. The fries were cold. I ordered my burger lettuce wrapped and learned that there was no lettuce available when they handed me my food— no big deal, I just pulled the bun off and got my fingers dirty.
I don’t like to leave reviews but have made an exception here. Would like the franchise owner to understand the state of his/her business this afternoon.
Freddys could learn a lot from shadowing an In-N-Out restaurant from an efficiency and cleanliness...
Read moreThis location has been open for a while and unlike the other steak burger place (Steak & Shake) has managed to stay open. My first thought was that Feddy's was an imitator and probably not as good. Boy was I wrong. I'll give them the highest of marks. I am a now a fan.
I went with something very similar to what I have ordered at the other place: a bacon cheeseburger. It was perfect, though maybe a little effort to remove all the grease from cooking would have been better (no deduction this might be a personal choice). The bacon alone was magnificent. Seriously. I could eat that all day.
I ordered a shake. I will say their (former) competitor has better shakes. I like ice cream better than frozen custard, but the later is just fine. That said Freddy's has a lot more selection and choices (sundaes, concrete, shakes). So I'd say it is a wash. It was delicious.
Unlike the local S&S, the staff here was friendly and helpful. More importantly, food got to us significantly faster.
The price points per dish is definitely not in Freddy's favor but not so much that would make me pause.
Would I go to Freddy's again? Absolutely. The other place has been closed for months and likely never reopening. I am glad I found an option and one that I think I may...
