My daughters and I took a scenic trip to the mountains and needed a place to stop for dinner. We love Italian and this one obviously had good reviews so we made the trip to Evergreen.
Upon entering, we received smug looks from a couple waiting to be seated as well as plenty the staff who came to the front. It was clear that we were not their target audience (people were dressed nicely, there was a wedding party in a private room, and we were out exploring the mountains).
For a Saturday evening, I was expecting a longer wait time when asked "I'm sorry, do you have a reservation?" A 10-15 minute wait is what we were told. When we were finally seated, our waitress greeted us warmly and throughout our meal, we were made to feel welcome by her. She told me that she also had two daughters and that our girls night was adorable.
The food was absolutely delicious, but when we had asked for cheese for my daughter's noodles, they brought out a sauce and we thought that was strange instead of Parmesan. I also overheard them telling a lady that the cheese was in the kitchen, and maybe they could cut a piece off. Our meals had shredded cheese on top, so this made me curious.
We were offered dessert, which we gladly accepted. My daughters did not want to share, typical, and because they were extremely well behaved, I opted to get them their own.
Upon our table being cleared I was told by one of the girls who kept eyeing us "I've never seen a kid not finish their dessert." And "my sister and I never had a choice of sharing. We were told to share or get nothing."
I would have given this place 5-stars, but some of their staff (minus our lovely waitress ❤️) should be less...
Read moreI just have to say that there needs to be more managers/bosses in this world like the one that works here. We had a big family and we called last minute to come in which they allowed while they were Already caring for another group and our waitress did a great job but I believe all the work she was doing ( which was a lot) was overwhelming her. Our tickets got messed up and they were really concerned about the service they offered. The manager stood up for his employee. Kindly explaining the situation and difficulties that comes with the job. The thing that really warmed my heart was he said he has amazing employees and just wants his guest to know the value they hold! The atmosphere is very family like. When we first came in they were instantly there and kind and always came to check on us and I noticed how they work as a team . As a family! It’s very beautiful! Oh, the food was great also lol and you got...
Read moreWe had a very bad experience tonight. Tuscany is usually a go to place, but not after tonight. David with the green hair informed me as I walked in that “we did not have reservations for 10 people “. I had changed the reservation 2 nights before and was told it was no problem. David told me that maybe they could add one more space. It seemed like a real inconvenience , and since the place was empty except for 2 other tables, I guess it was a real problem. After I was seated I had to borrow a napkin and flatware from another table. The rest of the table was being served water when I had the audacity to ask to a glass. I was told by Kathy who pointed to another woman, “ that’s your waitress, ask her”! Nothing like team work. I always order the Eggplant Al Forno. Tonight it was swimming in grease, and the eggplant was MIA. Our waitress Mandy was very nice, and on top of of our orders. I hope she lands...
