Took about 5-7 mins to get seated and there was hardly anyone in the restaurant. The hostess was not at the podium when we arrived. Manager came in the front door and passed us then came back to seat us. The server was good. The food choices were decent. Not many but still good. After getting our order taken I noticed that the female bartender was holding her face mask down with her hand then after putting it back up she kept touching the outside of it several times. Once we got our food I tried the Cole slaw and it was not good at all. No flavor and just weird. Don't order the cole slaw lol. I stopped the manager and asked if I could switch it out with something else he gladly replaced it. Then I became extremely uncomfortable when I noticed that he was talking to us with his mask below his nostrils and they were totally exposed. He was standing directly over our table with our 4 year old. Not sure why a manager would approach a table with a mask being incorrectly worn with a pandemic going on with an obvious compliance order to wear a mask. Managers must set the example and if thats how he's wearing his mask then that means he's ok with any of his employees deciding to wear theirs like that as well. Not a good decision on his end and very unprofessional. He was very nice don't get me wrong but that part gave me a different outlook on the whole restaurant. Overall the food was good (except the cole slaw) and the waitress was good. I wouldn't say the whole food experience was excellent but overall good with the MAJOR exception of the way the manager was...
Read moreI went here with my boyfriend for his 21st birthday... and it was one of the worst experiences I’ve ever had. Maybe Micheala our server assumed we were just stupid young college students, but I had been saving for a WHOLE MONTH so I could take him here and spend a good amount of money...... so when my boyfriend hated his first legal drink, because it tasted off I asked our server if we could get a different drink. She didn’t tell us that supposedly Broadway brewery makes you pay for drinks even if it tasted wrong..... so then she brings us another drink and I was like yay! Awesome! And my boyfriend thought the second one was much better. But then when she brought out bill out and I asked her why the drink that tasted wrong was still on our bill she said we still had to pay for it and was so rude I wanted to cry.... Being a server myself for two years I know that this is no way to treat someone, especially if they came into your restaurant to celebrate. Luckily the manager didn’t even ask what happened and just took it off our hill at the end, but I could tell she was just talking bad about us to him while she was at the server station. Disappointed I have sad memories at what was one of my favorite places :( not going back. Just because I’m a college student doesn’t mean I’m teying to get free things. I would not recommend for...
Read moreMy wife and I often come to Broadway Brewery for dinner and a beer. I have to recommend the double rye IPA, if you like that sort of thing. My wife recommends the Kolsch for those of you preferring lighter offerings. They often have other interesting beers and do flights if you want to try a bunch. The food is locally sourced and typically amazing. The porter dip is a great pub-type appetizer, and I usually alternate between Sheperd's Pie, their awesome pizzas, and the daily Wagyu beef special. My wife is a big fan of their burgers.
I do want to say that we do not go for lunch anymore and I can not recommend such. When we went earlier than our usual, our server was the bartender who seemed too busy to help, the portion sizes were much smaller, and they refused to cook a burger to order - saying the patties are too small and they only come well-done. It was certainly well-done or worse. That being said, we've been back for dinner and everything was great later in the day, as we've experienced many...
