We tried Curry & Kabob last week for the first time and enjoyed it so much, we wanted to order it again this week. However, I wish we hadn't.
My husband and I placed an online order around 6:40 pm. Everything went through as we were charged and got a confirmation email for our order, and the email said the food would be arriving via delivery around 7:30 pm. A bit after we placed our order, my husband got a call from the restaurant asking to confirm if he had placed an order, which he confirmed he did. They verified it because they said their system was having issues, but said they would work on the order right away.
At around 7:50 pm, the food still had not arrived so my husband called to check in on the order. He gave his name, and whoever answered the phone said that the order was out for delivery and should be there soon. But then, 8:30 pm rolls around, and we still hadn't gotten our food.
My husband calls the restaurant again and asks about our order. They claim that someone who also had the same name as my husband called to cancel the order 10 minutes after my husband originally spoke on the phone confirming that we had placed the order around 6:50 p.m. We were confused by this because when we called around an hour later, we were told that our food was out for delivery. My husband asked to pick up the food at this point to make sure we could get our order.
Once my husband arrived to pick up our order, they had a different story and said this time that someone called to change the order to pick up, which also doesn't make sense as they didn't say they had the food waiting for pick up before either. It was such a mess and their story wasn't straight or adding up given the times that we had called the restaurant. They also just said "sorry" and were a bit dismissive when my husband asked for clarification about what happened. Over 2 hours after we originally ordered, we got the food home, and it was not even good!
We will not take our...
Read moreI really can't do this place justice in my review. The food is amazing and the buffet is an excellent value for the truly top-rate options. They usually switch up the buffet options a little bit so there's variety and everything I've ever had has been fantastic (they do always have the most popular dishes like the chicken tikka and the spinach/saag). The lunch buffet comes with delicious chai tea, fruit, and rice pudding. The owner and staff are exceptionally nice and accommodating, really friendly and helpful and also quite generous. Once they gave the kids free ice cream just for fun. My oldest daughter asks for them by name and gets excited to see them. Again, really can't say enough good things about this restaurant.
We are here on a monthly if not weekly basis for the lunch buffet with our two kids and it's our top choice to bring friends when they visit from out of town. After lunch, there's a playground right outside that we can bring our kids to, which the kids love; there are also a couple of convenient stores nearby to...
Read moreI've had many good, and several bad experiences with Curry & Kabob. My latest experience may well be my last. I've ordered many menu selections with seafood items, and if I may be overtly personal, the next couple of days were a bathroom nightmare. As long as I avoided anything relating to seafood I was fine, but tonight was the final straw that shocked me enough to convince myself I shouldn't ever order from there again. I ordered the Jungle Kabob off their menu, and despite being advertised as including chicken, sour cream, ginger, garlic, mint, cashew, herbs and spices, nothing in the list indicated it would be blue and white as my photo indicates (common colors of mold). It didn't smell terrible which confused me, but I've never seen any tandoori dish that was predominantly blue and white. If I threw this away in error, terrified by horror that I might poison myself, please let me know, but in my lifetime, if I've ever seen a dish that was blue and white, it has been a clear indicator of...
