Apparently, no one at this location is able to do simple addition. The managers are unable to do anything about the prices and instead of addressing the concern of a customer who can clearly prove that there is a price issue, they would rather defend the fact that their employee did nothing wrong when the employee was not accused of doing anything wrong. Now here is what happened to cause the statements made above. I ordered 2 Double Quarter Pounder Meals upsized to a large with Sweet Tea. When I arrived at the first window and the cashier told me the price, something didn't sound right and a look crossed my face that said as much. She got another cashier to verify that the order was correct. It still didn't sound right. They got the manager to verify the same thing. When I asked how much the upcharge to a large meal was, none of them, not even the manager could tell me. They continued to insist that the order was correct. I paid for the food and went home. The price still bothered me. I downloaded the McDonald's App. I entered the same order with the same result. I then tested the upcharge of a large meal on a different extra value meal and also entered all of the items of the Double Quarter Pounder Meal a la carte (individually). Here is what I found. A medium Double Quarter Pounder Meal costs $8.09. A large Double Quarter Pounder Meal costs $10.29. For those doing that math, that is a difference of $2.20. A medium Big Mac meal costs $7.00. A large Big Mac meal costs $7.80. That is only a difference of $0.80. The exact same items are being changed in size, so how do they justify the $1.40 difference in the meal upcharge price? Now for the kicker. A Double Quarter Pounder costs $5.79, Large French Fries cost $2.39, and a Large Sweet Tea costs $1.00. The grand total of these items is $9.18, which is $1.11 less than ordering it as a large meal. I returned to the restaurant and asked to speak with a manager. The same manager from before came to speak with me. I explained everything that I just outlined here and was told the following things: "We can only ring up an order as it shows up in the computer, we can't tell the price of an upcharge", "The cashier did nothing wrong", "The person that I would need to talk to isn't here", "But you didn't order them individually, you ordered them as a meal", "There is nothing I can do about the pricing", "What do you want me to do". At no point did this manager, address my actual concern. I wasn't even asking for my money back or even the difference in the price back. When I pointed out that this was the kind of issue that results in lawsuits, all she could continue to do was defend the fact that the cashier did nothing wrong. At this point, I left, returned home, filled out the customer satisfaction survey, and wrote this review. Hopefully, someone at McDonald's will address this issue and contact me because I am really considering a lawsuit at this point and I don't like...
Read moreYou know ... it's just not getting any better. The service industry has been devolving for quite a few years now. But since the scamdemic started, it's been on a fast train downhill. I'll use this McDonald's as the example here, since I just visited this one today but my observations apply to all fast food establishments in general. Today I ordered a lg diet coke and an unsweet ice tea. That's it. Simple, small order. The ice tea "was" but the diet coke wasn't. It was bitter and did not resemble any kind of actual coke. It either was not diet or it was very nasty regular coke. 50% of my order was incorrect. This is pretty much the story of McDonald's everywhere I go these days. The cokes are routinely bad. No syrup or too much syrup. No carbonation or too much carbonation. Not enough water or too much water. Frequently my cokes taste like Cheerwine. You know ... Dr. Pepper"ish". And I do mean "frequently". I used to love McDonald's fries. Nowadays, however, they are undercooked, overcooked, sometimes almost raw ... or just plain cold. And they never come salted anymore either. Can McDonald's not get salt? Is there a shortage that I'm not aware of? I've grown used to asking for salt packets on the side (which I shouldn't have to do) but here lately I'm getting told, "Sorry, we don't have any". Can McDonald's not just run to Walmart like the rest of humanity? Another issue is condiments. We're not getting any. I Frequently get my burgers with just two pieces of meat and bread. I regularly get burgers (usually after driving off from the drive thru) with no ketchup, mustard, onions, pickles, mayo, etc. Stale bread, almost always cold sandwiches, uncooked chicken patties, dried out chicken fingers. All of these things have happened to me and my family in just the last month. This has gone beyond lack of "good help". This is just plain old apathy and lack of quality control. At least the pld lady with the coffee burns got ... hot coffee. My suggest to McDonald's is that they go back to basics. Hamburgers, cheeseburgers, fries, sodas and shakes. That's it. The intelligence, interest levels and physical and mental abilities of today's younger generation is pretty low and will never regain its former glory again. Make it simple as possible for them and maybe I can get a correct order again...
Read moreAbsolutely horrendous experience. I went through the drive-through and ordered 2 small fries. After driving all the way home, I realized that I actually received 2 apple pies. Normally, I wouldn't have cared, but we really wanted some stinkin' delicious McDonald's fries! I drove back to McDonald's and went inside. I was very nice and polite when I explained what happened to the first employee. I jokingly asked for 2 large fries instead, simply to offset gas money (I know, I know... only a few cent... but still!). The first employee rolled her eyes and walked over to another employee. The second employee told the first employee to just "give 'em the fries and get 'em out of here." I was slightly bothered by her remark, but I didn't say anything. I grabbed the fries and left. After walking out of the store, I checked the order just to make sure it was correct. What do you know? I was given 1 (yes... ONE!) small fry. Remember: I requested 2 large fried for the inconvenience. I walked back inside and explained the situation to the first employee again. Once more, she walked over to the second employee and made a joke about us. After they laughed for at least a minute, the second employee said to the first employee, "Oh... yeah... give them another." Welp. She filled a small fry cup up halfway and begrudgingly handed it to me. At this point, it was not even about the stupid fries. It was about treating people with respect and decency. So, I admit, I started getting a bit feisty. I demanded 2 LARGE fries. The first employee walked over to the second employee AGAIN. She looked over at us and said, "Just give them the explicit large fry. Get them out of the store." I mean... really? So, we were handed 1 large fry, while the manager (Trevis, I believe) was walking up to us. He immediately started the conversation off in a way where I grew even more defensive. As I was explaining the situation, he kept interrupting me. Finally, he agreed to give me the $2.54 back for the 2 small fries, if I gave them all of the food back....
