Just as I suspected, another water downed "coffee" shop. Is it aesthetic inside? Yes. Ample sized area and lots of seating and standing room. However their take on "Vietnamese" "Hong Kong" style drinks are honestly laughable. But this is a college area, so what's to be expected? No diversity or friendly faces 👎 Service 2/5- No greeting once at the counter, I asked what was in the Caramel Ice Dragon, which btw that's what they are calling their drinks fyi- Mocha, Caramel etc. Are just flavors. Even though the menu was behind the gentleman, he said it's a "caramel type drink with some cream" that's awfully specific. Asked if there was an option for non dairy milk, he said he didn't think so...so who do I ask? Like??? The time to wait for the drink was maybe 1-2 minutes if that, which was appreciated as there was a couple people before me waiting. Drink 2/5- I settled with their "Hong Kong Imperial Milk Tea" iced, double which resembles any standard "regular drink" size. The tea taste is there but subtle. They advertised sweetened and creamy and there is nothing nor sweet how a milk tea should taste or creamy if we're going for the agenda this coffee shop is trying to pull. It was not worth $5.94. Menu and...

Is it a full moon? Did the election results hit everyone THIS hard? I have had one heck of a week with breakfast...
I made an online order for a SINGLE menu item (ham & cheese on a pretzel bun); I paid extra to add an egg (+$1.50) and for additional ham (+$1.50). I can, with 100% certainty say that there was not an egg on my sandwich. I'm not too sure about the additional ham. I'm not too concerned about $1.50 egg -- but when I'm paying $10.40 (+ tax) for a breakfast sandwich, I somewhat expect it to be assembled neatly, and correctly, as ordered.
This wasn't my first time having issues here. I mean, the food tastes great and the coffee is usually pretty darn fantastic. But when it's totally hit or miss with order accuracy, it makes me want to spend my money elsewhere. It was ONE ITEM that equated to 100% failure rate...

Read moreJust a good coffee shop in downtown Columbia. One of this place's greatest merits comes from more than the coffee itself: the open hours for the shop. It's open very late for a cafe, something that only Cool Beans can match and surpass, though this place is easily better in terms of pricing (Cool Beans is wildly overpriced, regardless of how great the location and design of the building's interior are).
This shop is gorgeous on the inside, with plenty of seating and many windows, so light is always streaming in when the sun's out. There are a variety of seating options, and each individual at the shop will definitely feels as though they have enough space without feeling cramped.
So now, in terms of the coffee, it's good, but not necessarily great (if I could give this shop 4.4 stars or 4.5, I would). It doesn't particularly stand out, but it is still quite good. So while the coffee and the desserts/pastries are decent to good, the setting is great, and I very much recommend a visit here. Great...
