This was the worst experience I’ve ever had at any restaurant. Me and mother ordered food through Barberito’s mobile app on Friday 05/17/2024. We went to pickup the food only to discover that they had almost nothing. I ordered tofu nachos in which they had no lettuce, no guacamole (which was an up charge), and no shredded cheese. The cashier gave me the food as is and wrote “sorry no cheese” on my receipt. My mother ordered a chicken quesadilla and a steak nacho, which again, they had nothing for. The cashier’s resolution for the quesadilla was their liquid queso cheese dip, which would not make sense for a quesadilla. My mother tried to compromise with her steak nacho by choosing a different meat and opting for the queso cheese dip. Unfortunately, they did not have any other meat in addition to the missing lettuce, guacamole, and shredded cheese. At this point, a refund was needed. Unfortunately, the only two cashiers on duty had no ability to issue it. The cashier called her shift lead Miranda (Mimi) who did not show any compassion toward the situation. She stated that we needed to write our names down and our phone number because she was not able to issue a refund, the manager Mr. Jones would need to do it. She said that she and the manager would be there on Sunday and to come back to see what could be done. We arrive on Sunday around 11:30am. Mr. Jones introduced himself as the general manager. We explained the situation and he then states that he is not able to issue refunds but that the owner of Barberitos would have to and that the owner would be in later on that day. We came back in at 2pm but the owner was not there, still leaving us with no refund after 3 days of waiting. It’s unfortunate that no one has the ability to offer what should be a simple refund. Read moreExperience from 9/19/2025 approx 5:45 pm. Walked in with no line or people behind us. Man approached me with no acknowledgment until I acknowledged him. Told him I would like a bowl. He slapped down a bowl and immediately dumped rice in it which I politely said I didn’t want. I couldn’t see my choices because everything was covered and tops could not be seen due to condensation. As I tried to “pick” he would look blank out the window, grab my selection then immediately look back out the window as if agitated with me being there. I asked for grilled chicken and he slapped a less than full scoop so I asked for extra and that scoop was less than the first so I basically got one full scoop with 2 of his scoops. I asked for grilled onions and mushrooms and he threw a handful of raw mushrooms on top of my bowl and AGAIN, immediately raised his head with same blank look right out the windows. No smile…Nothing. My son and husband had a somewhat better experience behind me with the female on duty but nothing “Wow”. This is our second trip to this location after discovering another one beside the busy location downtown. Read moreThe manager was terrific. She's clearly training three new kids/staff but I watched those employees argue with her about their roles and tasks. District manager needs to help her, and if that means closing to restaff and retrain, that's what should happen.
They were out of rice at 6 p.m.
The place was filthy. I watched her tell staff to sweep but never saw that. The dining room had trash on the seats, the floors, the tables. The garbage can was so full no more could be added.
The food prep area had not been wiped down in what looked like hours, and I lost my appetite standing there. I could not eat.
The manager told a staffer to fill up the chip hopper, she the staffer said, "It is full." It wasn't. Then the staffer mocked the manager right there In front of me.
The soda tasted off, so that could have been the ice or the lines. They were out of sweet tea, and a staffer said, "We don't have any," and the manager looked shocked. I can completely believe they were told to do a task but didn't.
