My boyfriend and I had reservations for 6:15 and we were seated at 6:12. The restaurant was super busy so we were surprised we got seated before our reservation time. The entire restaurant is open concept, there are no private areas which was a bit of a surprise, but since we were seated at a booth we still had a semi private area. We were immediately greeted by our waiter and given complementary bread which was served with a seasoned olive oil. Really tasty and satisfying combo, the bread was fresh warm and soft. We both got cocktails that came out at the same time and very quickly. They were not too strong and had pretty good flavor, decent size too not a tiny two sip portion ($10.50 and $8). When we placed our order we placed the entrees and appetizers together since we don't mind having them at the same time, and they all came out together. The Bang Bang Shrimp was delicious, and I typically do not eat shrimp! My boyfriend's surf-and-turf ($41.50) was cooked to perfection with the exception of being lukewarm. His asparagus also needed a bit of salt. I got the sea bass ($36) with garlic mashed potatoes and coleslaw and mashed potatoes were also lukewarm almost cold. This was a bit dissapointing but ok. The sea bass was cooked perfectly but it needed a tiny bit of salt. We do not mind adding salt to our food though, it is better to be under salted than over salted, and some peoples diets require low sodium so we really did not mind. Also since the table had sea salt and mixed peppercorn grinders it was convienent. In terms of overall seasoning we agreed that everything was seasoned nicely but very lightly and a tad bit ubder salted. We were so stuffed we did not have room to try the key lime cake, but hopefully we will next time! Our total before tip was $126 for the 2 cocktails, appetizer and 2 entrees. Not terrible for what we got but definetly makes this a 1 or 2 times a year special occassion dining experience. We highly recommend...
Read moreWe went last night for a dinner with friends. This restaurant is always full on weekends so, when trying to book reservations at 3 p.m. on Saturday for the same night, we were unable to get reservations for 6 p.m. and had to wait until 7:30 p.m. The booths are comfortable, and the bar has several television monitors for which the sound is kept muted. Although there is a lot of talking noise, the acoustics are good and seem to minimize the din. The waiters are attentive, if rushed, in such a crowd, and I left a hefty tip in response to the good service. I ordered the scallop dish with cheddar sauce on rice, which was a bit salty for my taste, and the scallops were not sizzling hot but rather seemed like they had been kept warm under lights for too long. The seafood is usually better than that. We all ordered alcoholic drinks--my raspberry Collins was excellent, and my husband's dark ale was great. We had spicy shrimp for an appetizer and it too wasn't sizzling fresh, with the sauce for that dish coming out of the kitchen a bit clotted because it didn't come right out of the skillet. My husband's fish and chips suited him fine. So I'd say that I'd give the food three out of five stars last night instead of the usual four or five stars. I like the menu because, for people who eat gluten-free like me, there are plenty of choices. We had a lovely visit with our friends, which is what we went there for, and we never felt rushed. We declined dessert because we were all too full. I had a nice cup of coffee to finish off the...
Read moreI went to Bonefish Grill on Frantz Road for my parents 51st Anniversary and my pops 80th Bday with my family. WOW! What a Beautiful and Awesome dining experience we all had, including pops and ma! And you all know how hard it is to make both mom and dad happy! Lol! KENNEDY, the gentleman who took care of us was on point and so friendly and professional and HE MADE THIS A BEAUTIFUL DINING EXPERIENCE FOR MY PARENTS. The food was Excellent. We had Bang Bang Shrimp and Calamari for apps. Dinner was the filet with shrimp, filet with scallops and I had the Rockefeller Butterfish and they were so tasty and amazing and decently priced. I know that a lot of places charge an arm and leg, but Bonefish’s prices were extremely reasonable and food was delicious. But, KENNEDY’S service and along with the manager, Collin and the owner and all the wonderful people who touched our table, made my parents night, FREAKING AWESOME! I mean to have your 80 year old parents truly enjoy the dining experience that they and what we received by everyone at Bonefish, was PRICELESS. This place is a hidden jewel in these times, I highly recommend it. And I have been a server/waiter since 1988. Please, check out this wonderful hidden gem, and also please be patient and understanding as nothing in life is 100% but they give 200% to make sure you have a wonderful dining experience. This is just my humble opinion based on a beautiful night my elderly parents and I had. But please check out this wonderful...
