Bruster's Real Ice Cream — Restaurant in Columbus

Just had THE WORST experience at this location thanks to an employee by the name of JB. He or she (couldn’t identify what it was) had a VERY nasty attitude. He handed me the clip board to sign for my order as I was handing it back the loose pen rolled off of the board. I then apologized and told him it fell. He then looked at me and said “well you need to get out and get it” I told him I would not Bc I am pregnant and can’t bend over under the car for a pen. He then withheld my order that I had already paid for and demanded I get the pen or I would not be served. He then closed the window and proceeded to leave his station and served others behind me. He then came back to the window to antagonize me and my daughter by asked in a very condescending manner “Are you comfortable ? Because you’re not getting your order” at this point I was appalled. The manager did NOTHING. I literally had to get out of my car and yell through the window to ask who was the manager and why is this behavior acceptable. She had no excuse and did not even offer an apology. This establishment has become egregiously ghetto and I will NEVER return. My daughter was terrified and did not get to enjoy her ice cream. I used to work at this location and that type of behavior would’ve NEVER been tolerated. It needs to be shut down and reformed. I am not satisfied. If I could give no stars, I would’ve. I was served by a girl named Camryn a couple of days ago and I was having a horrible day. I had just found out my dog has to be put down this coming Tuesday and my son is battling leukemia so I took us out for a ice cream date . Upon walking up to the window she was all smiles and made me feel determined to figure out what it was that I wanted exactly. She offered me several samples of their new flavors and also old and she also explained in depth what flavors were her favorite and what flavors she’d recommend …this made me end up getting the 2 best flavors which is Birthday Cake and Cake batter on a large cone. When it came to my son she was so gentle and very sweet to him . She told him to “take his time” which is very big to us since at other restaurants people were rude and seemed annoyed by his stuttering issue and also his other speech disorders. She never seemed annoyed she didn’t mind going to get our 100,000 samples I absolutely loved her personality! She repeated our order back to us multiple times and made sure we understood what sizes were which and what we were getting is what we wanted. Shout out to the girl named Kim who helped her with every question she had with no hesitation! Even though she’s new she did a wonderful job with our order! I go here regularly with a friend of mine and we always get the same thing. I get a medium chocolate waffle cone which is pretty good as the ice cream is not too chocolatey and it's very creamy. My friend gets the large mint chocolate chip waffle cone and she loves it but I cannot for the life of me think of why anyone would want to eat mint and chocolate chips together. Ew. She says it's delicious but I can't see how it could be. The waffle cones are light, crisp and delicious but like everywhere else, the ice cream melts and drips through the hole in the bottom so go ahead and wear a shirt you don't mind getting ice cream on. Together, our total is just over $11.00.

It's a very small place off by itself near the street in the parking lot of a small strip mall hosting a liquor store, post office, Urgent Care, and two other businesses. You can walk up to the front window and place an order then sit and eat at a few tables with umbrellas, or you can use the drive-thru for convenience if you're in a hurry. The service is usually friendly and quick but the products are a bit expensive for what they are. However, it's still better than the inferior product and ridiculous prices you find at the Cold...
