I am starting this review off with the fact that I love Chilis. To the fact that I probably go twice a month, but this time was one of the worst experiences I have had in a restaurant. First; to no fault of the staff the ac was out making the restaurant uncomfortable and humid, but there was no posting of this so you didn’t feel the warm conditions until you already had a drink on the table. Yes we could have left at this point but at the time this wasn’t a big deal because stuff happens and again we love chilis. Next thing that was weird. Our server continued to rant to us about how bad his day was to the point where it started to get ridiculous. I love a good banter about how the runnings of a restaurant can be and I get when a server is frustrated and talks to a table about it. That’s fine, but in this situation it started to become excuses for poor service and started to get annoying. It started to feel like a performance to get more tips, which again I can understand and that wouldn’t cause me to write a review. The thing that is making me write this review is that it took an hour and 28 minutes just for us to get our tab after requesting multiple times with the server throughout. This is when all the factors come together. We were hot, sweating, feeling sticky, and frustrated that we could not leave and felt trapped and every time we talked to our server about getting the tab he told us he was on it and that he had 8 tables and was also hosting and it was a lot. I get that it was a lot but most of his tables were in the same exact situation as us. Done eating with our table still covered in plates and hot and miserable, there was no rush at this point in the night. I often saw him standing around talking about how bad his night has been with other tables instead of fixing our tab and other tabs around us. A table behind us got so fed up with it they got up and left and from what it looked like didn’t pay as they had been there for 2 hours and were in the same situation. We finally had our savior come when the manager came by after noticing us not leaving and at this point standing because we were so hot and uncomfortable cause we were sticking to the seats and got us our check immediately. On our way out our server was helping the table next to us as they had just came in and we didn’t get a goodbye or a have a nice night and he was talking poorly about other patrons and making up a story to get the table on his side. Overall our server was very kind but inefficient and was too focused on complaining than actually fixing the situation. We ended up being there for 3 hours and most of that time we were waiting on a check that we had to...

Read moreWell, this is the last time we will be ordering food from Chili's. My wife and I have been regular customers with the Chili's we would be living near, including one we frequented on a naval base in Japan. There were specific items we enjoyed and sought out, the main one being the Quesadilla Explosion Salad. We've seen some changes over the years, mostly due to whatever region we were in at the time, but overall a consistent full sized meal with great flavor. It started after arriving here in Columbus, and we pretty much ordered to go due to schedules. The quality management has been a regular issue, the salad was inconsistently made at best, and it was more common than not that there were items missing, such as the dressing. I called and asked for correction, drove back and picked up the missing parts, and the manager at one time took our address and said he would send us a coupon, which did not occur. We also began noticing the size of the salad dropped, new containers that were 1/4 the size. Ok, we rolled with it, until yesterday- new container, 1/2 the original size, and 1/4 of my salad was taken up by the "core" of the lettuce, the end that connects with the roots, which is supposed to be removed before chopping lettuce as it is essentially inedible. This is not a cheap menu item, and we are getting 1/2 what we received for our purchase last year, and a lack of quality that I can no longer excuse as anything but poor training and lack of concern for the customer experience. I actually hope that corporate checks reviews, because this franchise needs an overhaul, and corporates own policies that have resulted in product reduction for profit...
