Cuppa Cha — Restaurant in Columbus

I don’t like leaving bad reviews, I’ve been a server and know it’s tough out there, but when you order a brown sugar boba and it VERY clearly has no brown sugar and then they double down and insist you’re crazy for not believing them when they say that every single trace of the brown sugar has dissolved in the ~10 min from when the order was placed…

And then to have such horrible attitude and to keep belittling my question, and to top it off, even though I backed off and even told my friends who had just come in that the quality of the boba and tea was good, the employee still proceeded to harass me again as I was leaving and make it seem like I was dumb to think there wasn’t any brown sugar in my clearly brown sugar-less tea (hella white-looking tea and not a single speck of brown sugar syrup in any of the bottom crevices where it would naturally accumulate or on any of the interior lateral surfaces, a telltale sign of their deception).

Truly horrible experience, never going back and telling all of my coworkers and friends to steer clear too. Requested a full refund through the ordering service, would have left zero stars if...

Kudos to the girl working behind the counter on Friday afternoon 2/14/25. Poor thing was the only one working and a group of about 20 college kids had put in one massive order all at once for about the same number of drinks. I put in my single order of one drink right after them and stood around wondering if I was really about to wait for their 20 drinks to be made before my one drink when the whole group of them would be waiting for all their drinks to be done anyways. I asked the girl (not expecting her to agree, but why not just ask?) if she wouldn't mind making my one drink first before the group of 20 and to my pleasant surprise, she did, probably saving me about 30 minutes of wait time. It would have been easy for her to say no since I was unlucky enough to have come in after them but she was nice enough to help me out.

I would suggest to whoever runs this shop to add an additional tablet for ordering so as to avoid these situations. If there had been a second tablet, I would've had my order in and probably made in the 10 minutes that it took for that massive group to finish putting in...

There's a lot of options for bubble tea around Columbus but this one is pretty good! This location is located on campus and can be hard to find parking but it's worth it. It's a small store, there's not seating really, only a bench for waiting. Staff is usually really nice and patient when I spend time looking at the menu.

There's a not a lot of choices but what they have, they make well. I really like their Taro, Whipped Thai Milk, and their Green Grape, these are refreshing and sweet. I like their toppings, I think they're made well, their tapioca is chewy and not soggy. You can customize your sugar, ice, topping, and sometimes the milk option. Overall, great place for a refreshment and a drink to take with you wherever you go on campus. The prices are a bit higher than some places, but their drinks are made pretty well, about $7.50-$9 per drink.

I would recommend if you like boba, need a pick me up, need a drink, or a refreshing drink...
