Ordered 3 ice creams for my kids through the app and picked the “table side” option thinking someone was going to bring it to our table. We were in the play place area. I looked out the window in that area and saw the 2 cones and the sundae I ordered just sitting at the counter, so I went up there to grab them. As I was grabbing them, an employee bumped the counter they were sitting on while putting an order on the DoorDash/Uber eats rack and knocked one of the cones over. They quickly picked the cone up, but left the mess on the counter. I cleaned it up myself after waiting a few minutes. I thought since they knocked my cone over, they’d make me another one. I waited for about 5 minutes and then asked the employee that knocked my cone over for another one. They just said “Another cone?” And walked away. I waited another 10 minutes, and another customer came up to the register where I was standing and waiting. Mind you, the employee that knocked my cone over made eye contact with me multiple times during my time waiting and didn’t say anything to me or ask me if I needed anything. The customer that came up behind me asked if I had been helped, and I said “No, I’m waiting for another ice cream cone.” To which the employee that knocked my cone over said “we are out of ice cream.” ……so I stood there for 15 minutes with this employee knowing I was standing there…..waiting for another cone…..for them to finally tell me they’re out of ice cream? I wasn’t offered a refund, nor was I offered an alternative option so one of my kids didn’t get ice cream while his brothers did. Extremely rude, extremely unprofessional. Not that they care but I won’t be coming back. Multiple other employees were there too and saw me standing there waiting and not a single person asked to help or offered any sort of assistance so I won’t be back to...
Read moreI go back to the seventies at this location (the old building when people like Rocky worked here), so I am a long-time customer. The old building was more intimate and the playground was nice for people with kids. The new building has more places to sit, I suppose, and the double drive thru is supposed to speed things up, but doesn't seem to (unless it is simply much more busy and therefore takes longer). I probably waited 15-25 minutes in line the last time I was there (on a Sunday last year), That was probably 12:30 or 1, so that might be a busy time for them.
Getting food right can be a problem at drive thrus, so I typically go in. But, I don't recall them messing up a sandwich for years.
These are non chain specific negatives.
The Filet-O-Fish is just not as good with the pollock or whatever type of fish they use. The Atlantic Cod was much better, but there is a shortage of that, so McDonald's cannot help that. I don't know if there is a better alternative or not.
The burgers are not that good.
They quit selling McDonaldland Cookies. Those were a tasty treat that took me back to my childhood.
The Chicken Sandwich is inexpensive and tasty enough, yet not great. The McNuggets are okay, but I am not sure of how they are made. I might be grossed out.
I miss the McDonald's of the seventies and eighties. The McDonald's of today is more slick, has Free Wifi (which can be good, but has its risks. DO NOT use it for sensitive data and even then you might be at risk of being hacked just using it)., but it is not the same and I would go back to the earlier version...
Read moreI only use McDonald's anymore if I want to stop and get a drink. Their food isn't really that great. The fries tend to come out cold. I expect it to be good and there is nothing good about cold fries. If I've stopped to get food I have time or can make time for you to drop fresh fries. 4 minutes or however long it takes isn't going to hurt me. Also their burgers and sandwiches are put together far too sloppy. Too much sauce like ketchup, mustard or mayo tends to get put on their burgers which causes those sauces to run off into the box or wrap. Since it's 50/50 odds of whether or not napkins were placed in my bag that sauce could get all over my hands and other things such as my shirt. In some cases the lettuce and other toppings tends to be more around my sandwich than on it making it so I have to completely restack it before eating it. I understand you are in a rush but a little control would really help the quality there. Then there was the times, about 1 out of 3 times, where my order would made wrong and/or missing items. I had to go back and sort it out a few times. Before Covid overall service was slow even if just getting drinks, wait time of 20 to 30 minutes is ridiculous for just drinks, but that has been fixed since so that is an improvement. Fast service is good but quality service is still best. I wholeheartedly recommend drinks at this location but...
