The "investment group" that owns this mcdonald's parking lot is basically stealing cars and holding them for ransom by a towing company. My husband and I went into this mcdonald's to use their restroom while our three friends walked down to buckeye donuts. When we returned, our car was gone and a taxi cab was across the parking lot. Ironic. This was about 5-10 minutes before midnight and the parking lot was basically empty. I asked the employee if I could speak with a manager and she asked if my car was towed. So obviously this is something that happens often if she automatically knew what was going on. I was told to call the number on the sign as the tow guy gets off work at midnight. The guy I spoke with told me it would be $110 cash to get my car back, and since I didn't BUY anything and three people left the property, my car was towed. Didn't matter if me and my husband who owned the car were in the mcdonalds, our friends left the property, so they towed it. My car is also brand new and AWD and the only way to have towed is to drag it across the parking lot to get it up from the front. Lovely. I got pretty irate with this man as he wouldn't give me my car back and he pretty much stole it. I got no where with him and went into the mcdonalds where the manager basically told me tough luck. Not his problem. Actually it is your problem when a towing company towes your patrons cars when THEY ARE USING YOUR FACILITY. I have never been so upset in my life. Avoid this mcdonalds and if you don't want to your car towed by a giant scam con artist investment group who takes it 5.5 miles away so you have to take a freaking cab and pay with freaking cash at 1am after a concert so you can get back to your freaking hotel because you're not even from Columbus. Screw you McDonald's and screw you Mr. "Repoed U" hummer guy at "Total Car Repair" at...
Read moreBeing on campus this McDonald's usually has a steady flow of folks coming in/out to eat at all times of the day. There are a few here who work the front line that REALLY make you feel welcome and are helpful in a genuine way. Besides McDs coffee the only thing I usually order is the sausage breakfast burritos. This location is one of the few that has them any time of the day and they are FANTASTIC! I have had to return burritos once at this location and it was handled perfectly. My most recent visit to this location was PERFECT. I truly believe that if all McDs burritos were like the ones I received this time it would become their top seller. I know this is a LOT about burritos but anyone that orders the burritos often at McDs (all locations) knows your taking a gamble at what you get. I have DOZENS of pix of bad burritos that were amongst other issues, served to me 11 hours after being made(staff told me this!), burritos that are SMALLER then the salsa packets served with them, some that the tortilla was so old /reheated so much they were translucent, and the worst was when THEY KNEW how bad they were so they picked/pulled off the rock hard burrito parts and served me a mangled mess. If you have made it through my yimmering about the burritos I hope the message that this McDs location has always been a great...
Read moreThis is the Ohio State University campus location, so I knew to expect some "colorful" people patronizing this store. The students were away on break during my visit, so it was actually quite slow inside. But what I expected was indeed what I found... there were several homeless individuals populated around the location, one even sleeping in the lobby. I will never shame the homeless (this was my reality in 2018), but be prepared to be asked for money if you head to this location. I never used to beg people for money, so I don't find it acceptable. But aside from that, the staff is populated with teens behind the counter and one AMAZING female manager who could not have corralled those children any better. She was stern, on top of orders and lighting a fire under their butts. I wish I would have gotten her name, but if you see an older woman barking out orders behind the counter, that's her. Say hi and tell her she is awesome, like I did. Her smile will warm your ❤️. The food took some time to come out, but once it did, it was hot and ready to eat. No complaints here other than the lingering panhandlers, the wait time and the ever present COVID-19 precautions, including half of the dining room downstairs and ALL of the second floor dining seats...
