Steak 'n Shake — Restaurant in Columbus

Went in to place a carryout order. Server did not know how to ring in the the 2 coupons that was in sales flyer from the mail. Server got the Mgr (Jack) he rang it up and it still sounded awfully pricey considering the coupon. I had to ask for my receipt. Jack was hesitant to give it to me but finally did. As they prepared the order I reviewed my receipt to realized that's the manager Jack did not ring in my receipt either. I waited patiently for my order to be prepared it took about 20 minutes. They were not very busy at all. Once I received my order I informed the person that gave it to me that I needed to see Jack the manager again because he did not ring in my order correctly. I was informed after that server went back to tell Jack I needed to see him that he said he didn't have time at the moment. So they got I believe the next person in mine who name was Melby. He reviewed my receipt and then began to argue with me that it was wrong and right and gave me back my receipt. I explained to him that I had the coupons and it was not running right at that point he ripped receipt out of my hand standing there at the counter. At that point I was extremely pissed and I asked for my receipt back and he continue to argue with me I had to literally tell him if he did not give me my receipt back I would file assault charges at that point. I called customer service on the corporate complaint line at that point from the parking lot. I explained the situation to the customer service rep and was assured I would receive a call to rectify the problem. A few hours later I received an email saying that it had been forwarded to the regional manager and no further action would be taken. I will never return to this facility again, my mistake a very big one. I have never been treated like this at any other Steak and Shake. I usually go to the one in Lewis Center on 23 as they have awesome food and great customer service. Beware of this particular restaurant at Polaris. Never never never again to. To sum it up customer service was extremely bad and I've never heard of a manager that did not have time for a customer terrible terrible customer service. Very poor service. We were seated quickly by a nice older man, and paying our bill at the counter by a nice young lady. Our server was the issue. We waited almost 10 minutes at our table before being greeted by anyone, our server wasn’t friendly or quick. During that 10 minutes she was bussing the table beside us and didn’t think to connect with us and at least say “lll be with you in one minute”. My friend and l made a few comments back and forth on how we should leave and go somewhere else since no one wants to wait on us. She clearly saw us sitting there. Finally she comes to our table and barely says any words and we order our food. She took so so long to get our drinks l actually timed her because l knew lt would be forever. lt was almost 10 minutes again!! So ridiculous!! When she brought us our food we said thank you and she didn’t say one word, when she brought us our food or gave us refills we thanked her and received no acknowledgement back from her. Lastly once we were done with our meal we sat there waiting for a long time for our milkshakes. We made lt clear that we were done and even bussed the table for her so when she would bring our milkshakes our table would be easy to clear. She never brought us our milkshakes!! We waited at least 15 minutes and she never followed up with us. Finally l became so frustrated when she started bussing the table behind us l said “can we get our milkshakes to go because this ls taking so long??” And she said “sure”finished bussing the table (no sense of urgency for a frustrated customer). We watched her when she was waiting on other customers and she wasn’t pleasant at all to her other tables either. Very shocked with this lack of training. Her name ls Erika and lf l ever go there again l will choose to not be waited by her.
