Texas Roadhouse — Restaurant in Columbus

The waitlist app is great- but after the 10 minute drive I was 3x as long as the app predicted. The hostess wasn't super friendly tonight and was short with her tone. That said they were busy, but that is always the norm on a Sunday at 5:15PM so that isn't new. We had a few minutes to wait inside the door behind the hostess stand and the menu lucite is nasty. It looks like it hasn't been cleaned in weeks.

I asked the hostess if we should let the seater know we wanted peanuts and she told me they automatically give this when they seat you (but it sounded like I was supposed to know that already). Surprise when the person seating us didn't have any and I asked her. She did go back and grab some.

The he poster beside my kiddos seat (next to the emergency exit) too was gross. Again, just needs to be cleaned. Our boot side seats had crumbs on them when we sat down.

The hubs got the roadkill meal with corn (which tasted like the cannot came in) and steak fries. My sons chicken critters were soaked in grease and we ended up bringing them home to crisp them in the air fryer, his green beans were soaked with water and oil or grease (maybe they should drain them before serving to eliminate them from spilling onto the plate into the other food).

Our waitress was super nice!! She actually saved this review...Katie was kind and super upbeat. She more than turned the experience from a 1 to a 3. She made sure our drinks were not going to run out. We also had a birthday so she orchestrated the big - yeehaw and waited to bring the dessert until we finished our meal. She checked on us multiple times and was always kind when she visited. Even though they were packed and I'm sure she was super busy Katie made sure we were well taken care of! She also bussed the table so we had room for our meals.

The new nuts in a bag and "lid" to our shells in was different since the last time we visited.

The food just really seemed less than...not expecting much because it's a sit down fast food kinda place - but they really had some gross...

I won't go to this location again. On my visit 6 months ago, I was seated at top location. I waited 20 minutes, no servers or any other guests were seated in the same area. I tried waving at any server, but nobody looked my way. I left and on the way out, server said thanks for coming. I said well it would have been nice, but I never got waited on. Experience on 12/8/24..... I got there at 3:25 pm, no line and no wait. Great. Hostess says, we're cleaning off your table and shows me the table. At 3:35 pm, same hostess says she went to the manager and I can't be seated at that table and ill have to wait until 3:30. I said its 3:35 now. She says well thats what the mgr said and we don't have any tables for 1 person. So, at 3:45, I am seated at a 3 person table. (See pic) There were people already seated in this area. So, I can't be seated as single because they didn't want to use table space, but you seat me at a 3 person table. People that came in after me were seated before me in same area. So, the math ain't mathin ... lol. Give me the 3 seater instead of the 2 seater. I won't go to this location again. The fact the hostess went to the Mgr and relayed his message to me is strange after being told table was being cleaned. After both incidents, it seems to be a race issue. I'm not surprised, so I just won't go to that location any more. I've never had problems at the Main St location. Why the hostess went to the manager to discuss my seating is beyond me. She also needs to learn how to tell time. Food was just ok, same with service. Because of that seating experience and the prior incident, I wish I could give zero stars. I won't return to that location to be treated as a customer...

Came here on a Saturday when they opened at 11am. Our waiter was so awesome, so friendly and super kind. However, my husband went to the bathroom and the floor was covered in water. After informing the waiter, he assured us it was left over cleaning water from that morning, but that he would inform management. After visiting the women’s restroom, I told the waiter that he has been great but we wouldn’t be returning based on the state of the restroom. Standing water all over the floor, stalls with “waste” in the toilet and other stalls without toilet paper. My stall (the only one left based on the condition of the others) wouldn’t flush and finally did. Again, this is right after they opened. The manager came over to discuss what happened explaining the floor again, stating that they only have an hour before opening to clean the restrooms which is why there is water on the floor. (How much water are they using?! Water does not take that long to dry!) I questioned him as there was no wet floor sign and the overall hygienic state of the bathroom was absolutely unacceptable for a place that serves food. I work in healthcare and the risk of someone slipping was outrageous. I’ve never had a negative experience at TRH but I will not be returning to this location. Really disappointing to have a manager try to justify why common sense protocol was not followed and to be met with a “sorry you feel that way” instead of a solution to the disgusting environment.
