Wendy's — Restaurant in Columbus

My daughter and I visited this location on 4-4-2024, and have never been as disappointed as we were by Wendy's. Any other time we have come to this location, we have always been welcomed and treated with courtesy. If we had to wait 7 minutes or more, we would ask for a small courtesy drink to make us feel valued as a customer, and also so that we are not sitting there being ignored. Most FAST FOOD places partake in this practice. We waited 4 minutes at the drive through speaker before anyone acknowledged us. Then we waited an additional 5 minutes before they asked for our order, with no apology for the wait. We watched 3 cars behind us get tired of waiting and just pull off without ordering. They didn't mute the speaker so we listened to them talk about the lady in the car in front of us, that said her order was wrong. We then pulled up to the first window to pay, and had no wait time at all, but once we pulled up to the second window, and again, 4 minutes before being acknowledged. Then I asked for a small courtesy drink, because of the wait, and at this point, we had already been there 14 minutes for a nearly $30 order. I then waited an additional 4 minutes when someone else rudely opened the window, and said "what are you waiting for"? I repeated that I asked the previous young lady for a courtesy drink, and she asked me to wait a moment. The lady then came back with a cup of water, and no straw or ice. I asked for a small tea instead and she said... "It's water or nothing". So... 20 minutes, $29.00 spent, and I left feeling like my time was wasted, my hard earned money wasn't appreciated, and my business with the company was not valued, and I didn't...

Generally I wouldn't review a standard chain place like Arby's/Wendy's/Taco Bell/McDonalds, but since I live right around the corner from these particular 4 locations Google keeps asking me to, so let's just get it over with...

This Wendy's location is far and away the most frequent fast food I purchase. It's right around the corner from my house and it's mediocre. The reason I go here is because the crew is superior to the crews at all of the other competition on High Street in this neighborhood. That's really it, the crew is the only reason I go to this location.

Seasonally we get the pulled pork fries and during that season I'm all over Wendy's, but for the rest of the year they're just the best bad choice.

But again I want to give credit to this crew. I've seen this location clear their entire drive through line in the time the McDonald's across the street clears one single car on at least four different occasions. I've seen this crew slammed with sports teams, overflowing drive through, and filled dining area and was blown away at the professionalism and dutifulness of the crew managing those rushes, particularly within the context of the crews at all of the other nearby fast food chains. Usually during my visits there's this old guy named Greg managing the crew. He's not too personable, he's kind of short and abrupt and I never hear a please or thank you from him, but he's a quick worker and he's always in humble command of the crew. I gotta give...

When I first entered I attempted to use the RR and it was locked has key pad some lady come out yelling at me being belligerent saying you think I'm going to get off toilet to let you n ur outta ur f'ing mind I said I'm sorry hope you have a better day well then we I exit RR and go to order food the same lady was at counter waiting for her food well they were working several different orders counter, drive thru, and door dash but this lady kept getting rude with this pregnant worker cause she set sandwich in bag and waiting for French fries the woman kept yelling and saying I'm not taking that sandwich my son doesn't eat cold food and don't put salt ony ghost pepper fries I never eat salt and that's what was taking so long cause the lady was going irritate and the manager told her your not going to keep yelling at my worker and causing a scene in front of my customers and she said oh the customer that you messed his order up or the lady she was yelling at telling her she had to take a drink she didn't want cause of something which I didn't see that lady... But the door's got locked somehow my daughter n law was in the car with my grandson and she was going to call me but noticed my phone was in the car... Wish I had it I would of...
