Rita's Italian Ice — Restaurant in Concord Township

Came to this location August 17, 2025. The guy who was working the station needs to be retrained on how to serve customers first and get the product correct. A Custard sundae should be larger than what was given and also should be correctly finished as described in multiple visual pictures on the premises with the list of accompanied toppings. The Sundae was half heartedly prepared and did not have all of the ingredients that a Sundae was Described and paid for by the way!!! Unfortunately, a tip was left prematurely!!!!!! Also, when it was Reported that the Sundae was missing ingredients this employee did not take care of the customer First. Instead they proceed to clean up a mess that was sitting there prior to us coming in for our so-called treats, and left the customer who was ignored and given an incomplete product, no apologies and was left to stand there waiting while they took their time and ignored a paying Customer the proper service. The Employee only offered to add the ingredients that they forgot, after they had their hands in this mess from off of the floor?!?!?! 10 minutes past before The employee half heartedly offered to fix his blunder!!!!! So this employee gets no points for Customer Service, for product preparation and should not be an employee there. If they’re the owner, their location should not be considered a Rita’s property. Spending over $50 in one visit this place is not worth recommending to anyone. They will not get any repeat business from myself or my family. Thanks for nothing and I mean nothing!!!! I was wanting a nice treat to end my day and I was actually eying a different Rita's on the DE side of the state line. However, as I was going down Concord Pike, I happened to catch a glimpse of this particular Rita's. I decided to stop here because it also appeared to have a small inside seating area. Rita's focuses on two items and combinations thereof - Italian ice and soft-serve custard. It's simple but very tasty. I like the soft custard as it's smooth and creamy and light. My only nit-pick is that I wish they had strawberry-flavored custard. Would be interesting to have that paired with their strawberry ice flavors. Their Italian ice is very juicy and tasty and I love the flavor of their mango ice. They have a variety of flavors that rotates as well as seasonal flavors. Gelatis are one of the best ways to experience both as it's layers of both the Italian ice and their custard which blend together nicely (so much so they also offer the two blended together as a drink). This particular location has a small dining area inside with a couple tables and a couple tables outside. Nothing much but if you want to enjoy your treat right there, it's possible. The service I had today was great. The person manning the counter had a great personality and was very personable. We went in for free ice plus purchased other items. We asked the girl for lids on everything so the two free items were put into a regular cup so a lid could be added. When we were rung up the total was $26.10. I went out to my car but decided to go back in and question her the price didn't seem right. She said the sandwhiches were 6.59 each ( which your sign board had 5.59) the large chocolate ice and the kids soft serve then she mentioned two regular ices and I mentioned we asked for the free ices not regulars. I just walked out because there was a long line and I didn't want to cause a scene.
