Alright, listen up, folks! Your ol' man here, world-renowned expert in grilling (mostly burgers, sometimes I char 'em just right!) and the undisputed king of the "Why did the...?" punchline, is here to lay down the law on the Chili's over there on Concord Parkway in Concord, NC. And let me tell ya, this place is something to taco 'bout! We pulled into the parking lot, and I immediately felt a sense of... chili-vation! Haha! Get it? Chili? Anyway, walking in, it had that classic Chili's vibe. You know, friendly faces, sports on the TV (always a good sign!), and the smell of sizzling goodness hitting you right in the schnoz. We got seated pretty quick, which was good because my stomach was starting to rumble like a distant thunderstorm. Our server came over, and I swear, she was a real gem. I almost asked her if her name was "Patio," because she was just outstanding! Crickets? Tough crowd! Now, for the main event: the food! I decided to go with the Triple Dipper because, you know, variety is the spice of life! And also, I couldn't make a dip-cision! Nailed it! The dips were on point, let me tell ya. The chips were crispy, the queso was gooey... it was nacho average appetizer experience, folks! For the main course, I went with the classic ribs. Fall-off-the-bone? More like fall-off-the-fork! They were that tender. And the sauce? Finger-lickin' good, though I tried to be polite for the wife. She got a burger, and I asked her how it was. She said, "It's really good!" I replied, "Well, I guess you could say it's burg-er-nomic!" She just rolled her eyes. That's how you know it was a good one! The kiddo got the mac and cheese, and I told him, "Don't be mac-king around, eat your dinner!" He just groaned. Ah, the sweet sound of a successful dad joke! Service throughout the meal was attentive. Our drinks were refilled without us even having to ask for it. They were really on the ball, or should I say, on the straw! Okay, maybe that one was a bit of a stretch. Overall, Chili's on Concord Parkway? Two thumbs up from this guy! It's a reliable spot for some good grub and a casual atmosphere. You won't leave hungry, and if you're lucky, you might even catch a few of my prime jokes floating through the air. So, if you're in Concord and looking for a place to eat, give Chili's a shot. It's a solid choice, and that's no fib-ber! Go on, get yourselves over there! You won't regret it! (Unless you're not a fan of excellent puns, in which case, you might need a...
Read moreWent to Chili's yesterday and I should have known that it was going to be a horrible experience. Walked in an was not greeted by anyone at all. Actually waited about 10 mins before someone came out to greet us and seat us. Sat for about another 15 without anyone coming over to our table...so of course had to go to the hostess and ask about our waiter. I get it, we were seated in the area of the bartender and yes it was busy at the bar, but there is absolute no reason we should have had to go ask for a waitress to come to us. So because we had to ask, the manager came over. Rachel(the manager) was snarky...making comments like " I would hate for you to have to wait"..so we finally ordered. We got drinks, which is the only reason we came originally and a simple shrimp taco meal. My friend is eating her tacos and realize, her shrimp are not cooked. So of course, we get the waitress to go get Rachel the manager. Waited for another 10-15 mins and she does not come out...but the bartender just so happens to come out from behind the bar to check on us. We show him the taco and he gags...and apologizes profusely. Says he is going to go get Rachel again. Waited 20- more minutes...still no Rachel. So the bartender comes back with a $5 gift card and says he is sorry but Rachel got caught up with to go orders and couldnt come speak with us but she apologizes. Now...its not that your wait time is horrible, or that you dont know how to manage the front end of a restaurant to make sure that your customers are being taken care of, or even that you accidentally intentionally served us raw shell fish that is the insulting part. Its that fact that your manager Rachel did not have to decency to show face and acknowledge the horrible experience we just had. How in the life of a restaurant manager is packing to go orders more important than serving your inhouse customers raw food. And to add insult to injury, you give us a $5 gift card....we are worth more than that. If my friend gets sick, now what. Rachel couldnt even show face and apologies. This was the worst experience I have ever had and will certainly be sure to let...
Read moreThey don’t deserve any stars. This by far has been the worst experience I’ve had at a Chili’s. Since, a lot of restaurants or businesses are under staffed because of COVID I try to give these establishments the benefit of the doubt. However, this location needs to work on their lack of service and management skills. The best thing I can say is that my food was good when I finally received it—-it took over an hour for our food to come out. When I complained to the manager that other patrons had gotten their food before us even though we had been seated and had placed our order before them he stated he would check on it. However, I guess he assumed we were mind readers because he did not come back to our table to give us an update on our food nor did the server. In fact, he seemed like he was trying ignore or dodge our table. When we finally got our food they gave my husband the wrong thing and then proceeded to tell him that it would be an up charge for a mistake made by the server. The server stated she would discuss with her manager but then no one came back to our table once again with any type of update. The server could/should have apologized for the mistake and should have suggested adjusting the bill but they did nothing. My husband and I, are both understanding people so it ticks me off that they had such a nonchalant attitude. At the end, my husband never got what he ordered and he had to go somewhere else to get food after spending about 2 hours at Chili’s. I will not go back to this location at all.
However, I can’t say the same for the other person in my party—-the server made a mistake with the order in the wrong thing and then...
