Listen up Management. We were so excited when Five Guys came to N. Concord. We have eaten here several times, even though the prices are high. You get what you pay for - - well, not all the time. We were last at Store # NC-1987 on 4/27/2021. To say that we were disappointed is putting it mildly. OK, we were there for Take Out on Tuesday at 5:10 pm, there was one other customer in the place, so not busy. When my husband came home with our meals I insisted that he take a picture of it because I couldn't believe my eyes. One of the things that we absolutely love about Five Guys is that they always give you a copious amount of fries (well done and super tasty - both varieties). Sadly, this time there were about the same amount that you would get at any McDonalds or such, and the burgers were dwarfed by the bun. Seriously, for an $8.59 Cheeseburger it was pretty sad. With as many Burger Joints in the area these Five Guys need to step up their game and go back to being what made them famous in the...
Read moreWe have two Five Guys in Concord. My husband and I visited this location for the first time on May 3. This location is by far the superior of the two Concord locations. Reasons they are superior…We were immediately greeted when we walked in by Steve who was at the register. Every employee was friendly and welcoming from the time we entered until we left. The music was not blasting so loudly that we could not hear each other. The burgers were cooked perfectly and were loaded with the extras (lettuce, tomatoes, onions, etc). And, the highlight…this restaurant is super clean! I saw tables being cleaned by Steve as customers left which is something I haven’t seen being done in most restaurants now. I noticed the sanitation grade is 100. Better than many restaurants! Thanks to the manager, Lauren, for ensuring the restaurant is clean and serving quality food! This is our go to Five Guys...
Read moreBeing from California and knowing Five Guys' reputation, I thought I'd give them a try. I'm pretty disappointed. I ordered the cheeseburger w/ extra onion, pickles, mustard, jalapeños and tomato, and a small fry crispy. The burger was a sloppy mess, which made me have to put it on a plate and eat it like a salad, then the "crisp" fries were just burnt. They were almost a dark Carmel brown and still soft. I know enough about a fryer as I have worked in the kitchen of a restaurant before. The way the fries came out only means that the oil temperature is too high. Needless to say that not being able to eat the over salted burnt fries and paying over 16.00 at a burger, which is not fine dining, is a definite no for me in the future. ...
